the only thing out of the ordinary that I can think of is for some reason I seem to have 2 characters on the hardcore shard, I dunno why.. Edit - actually the below image is my normal character, it must be just joining a server with 3p disabled rather than being a hradcore server per se.. and on some HC servers - -

yeah constantly after about 15 / 20 minutes or so, i'm trying to replace everything in my inventory but it's kinda pant filling as I keep expecting the game to crash at any moment and leave me either to be fed on by z's or killed by another player..

I dunno, not that I've read, something simple like garages or something would do the trick just make sure there are hundreds of them through out the map making it difficult to camp them. You put you vehicle / stuff into a garage, disconnect then next time you join you spawn back in with your vehicle / stuff and off you go on your merry way.. -

very true, i'm just saying its one of the things that always bugged me about the mod, you spend hours in the game world say sorting out a vehicle and all because you can't play for a day or two it's lost.. to me that sucks. -

how would it work though.. would it just stay on the server you dropped it, or if you were away from it and disconnected would it vanish as well and then reappear at the same spot if you rejoined at a later time a different server? -

this is your opinion m8, if the server tells me its loading 155 077 I believe it, now given the fact that my game is still just randomly crashing & as are others, yet we have been told the issue is fixed in client 155 188 - then I think it's safe to assume that there is still some kind of a conflict somewhere, until things are labelled properly can't know for sure if its a client/server conflict, all I know in my experience of the arma engine is older server versions have never liked newer clients & also that stated browser versions may not be what are actually loaded. As far as the game is telling me, that's exactly what its doing. -

First time that happens to me on a server i'm out, the teleporting the entire server and killing them was one shit sandwich I refused to chomp down on & as it was fucking endemic in the mod I stopped playing because of it.

well just load up the latest experimental build and you should be fine, I stick to the stable build simply because I have to make 108 individual symbolic links to my addons folder as I stream Chernarus off a ram drive - (grrrr at win 8) so it's a PITA keeping up with pushed experimental builds.. -

Reading these posts i'm now starting to think that while the client 115188 probably does have the crash fix, some dumbass uploaded the wrong server files as they were still half sleeping at 7am on Wednesday morning and this is why we're still crashing & they are to wrapped up in optimisations and larger player numbers in the experiment patchs to notice or care about stable as they can't do anything about it cause of schedules. Ho hum another weekend without DayZ then by the looks of things, I just hope whoever the idiot is who does maintenance next Wednesday has the brains to upload the right server files.. -

at the end of the day you have a much greater chance of running into a bandit masquerading as a hero than a hero wearing a mask. if you're not a bandit, take off the mask as i'm sure you're not an idiot right? -

While you don't shoot people for wearing masks, plenty of people do! and plenty of people wearing masks expect to be shot. Only two kinds of people wear masks, bandits & idiots. Heroes wear plaid, bandits wear masks according to DayZ lore all other "outfits" are just survivors -

did you rename it to DayZ.exe and save it? I use MSI afterburner to monitor my GPU's, its of no help to you I don't think cause your cards are ati but I see the latest Nvidia drivers 334.67 (beta) now come with a DayZ sli profile if people couldn't get it to work for themselves!. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=95e7ab65f9eb194b2c5d8ecb709f677d&t=386051

you need to play the latest experimental patch or wait for the next stable patch for optimisations that should benefit your machine.. and you could try reading the stickies in the forum..

please STOP saying they are updated THEY ARE NOT!! it says in the ingame server browser they are version 155188 but when you click and join it is loading version 155 077 capiche? -

pretty sure the NVidia optimisations were put into exp build 115 297 unless you are an ATI user or not playing that build then you wouldn't see any benefit. -
