google " the real Chernarus" and you will see that it looks pretty much like that today.. i'm hoping generally that it's set during outbreak rather than completely broken..

it's ok.. the game checks that the player has their "big boy" pants on before it lets you through the perimeter fence into air fields. -

I think you joined a normal server that has 3p disabled, so it lists as being "hardcore" though it's not the hardcore shard of the hive.. -

I think instead of the server saying "you are dead" instead it should ask " did you just experience a traumatic event? can you not cope? please visit www.no1gviesafuck.com and share your traumatic event and gain support of your peers to cope with your tragic loss. have a nice dayz. -

cause who or what is the arbiter to decide that a penalty should be incurred? are you saying no kills are ever justified? who decides if it was justified or not? all the humanity systems that have been tired over the years HAVE FAILED. In this game you are being hunted by A.I. = zombies & I = Human Antagonists . All the tears in China are not going to stop you facing adversaries in this game. your story ends when you die for what ever reason, you maybe weep a wee tear & then you respawn and get another go. there are no happy endings in the zombie apocalypse. In a way it's like real life, NO ONE IS GETTING OUT ALIVE. -

a means for repairing damaged weapon accessories.. models - boarded up buildings full of infected banging and shouting to create a bit of atmosphere in towns. night time tweaks to prevent gamma exploiting and torches shining through walls. Schools. leisure centres, multi storey car parks, cinemas, sewer systems, more variety in the buildings, stuff like that.. -
get back the paranoia if you wanna survive m8!! that's a rare interaction I wouldn't base all future ones on it..

I've died once or twice in over 300 hours game play and i'm 39% survivor and 80% bandit.. something not right there.. -

I think you're over egging the pudding tbh.. I think there are many more factors to be introduced yet into the game that will help combat kos with out retaliating to some kind of PTZD induced player psychosis. like exhaustion, sickness, much larger numbers of infected etc etc. all of which still are not going to stop some players trying to end your life as soon as they see you. -
I am a huge fan of night time play m8, always have been, even when people cried away from night time in the mod cause of NVG's and Thermal scopes, you would still find me in the thick of it with nothing but a torch.. All my regular hardcore servers I frequent now run pretty much perpetual day time - back to dawn on server restart, you show me one server that is night time with 5 or more players on it, normal or hardcore and I will eat the hat i'm wearing on my head at the moment..

aye, sez you, there are many reasons why people may shoot on sight in the "Real" world other than them being psycho's, in the game world as in the "real" world i'd say fear would be a massive motivating factor, military operating a shoot to kill policy, etc etc.. my favourite part of dayz is people trying to rationalise the chaos of the zombie apocalypse in the forums. the "game" is you are cast as a protagonist in a story, your "story". Where there are protagonists you will find antagonists - it's a necessity of narrative, stop trying to punish people for being a necessary part of the narrative, without bandits there wouldn't be heroes and visa versa. This is how dayZ is, people have to learn to deal with it. the end .. like when your character dies. The only people who need to be punished are glitchers, & hackers / scripter's, hoppers, loggers.. -

Why not spawn players randomly throughout the map?

I think the Devs are probably creating some kind of heat maps at the minute, they must have their reasons why spawns are happening the way they are, i'd imagine this will change over time -
the more shit you have the more bandwidth you use I think is the long and the short of it, anyone with more than 1000 are big game hunters fully equipped people with less than 200 are bean eaters..

if it's like the mod as long as you keep moving you should be fine, camping in the rain is a different story unless you had heat packs or made fires..
