dealing with new spawn - I don't kill unarmed people ever, even as a bandit that's the golden rule. as bandit - i'll probably take pants & battery, shit might get sadistic for the lulz as hero - find out why they are on the beach, if bragging tales of banditry are told, probably break their legs and bandage them up and leave them, my hero brings justice, if a victim of banditry offer to posse up & go and find who killed them, if not interested offer them a little food and water.

So if I understand correctly they are still the end game, but you will never find all the parts to make one fully work on any one server, you will have to find a fully working / under construction helo on other servers and nick the parts you require to get your own working on your server. interesting development.. if I read it right there will be, say a finite number of rotor assemblies across the whole shard, no matter the number of servers on it? is that right?

actions define in Dayz, not skins, in it's simplest expression "what the hero gives, the bandit takes away" that is really what Bandit / hero means to me, survivor just aren't really committed one way or the other, or are a wee bit of both!

there are consequences to your actions in this game m8, positive actions are termed as Heroic, Negative one's are termed Bandit - that is not the same as blue v's red, have you not figured that out yet ffs?

"try" being the operative word. hopefully they have a competent pilot as well, if it's going to have the sophistication of " take on helicopters"

i'd say the goal will be more to strip the helo rather than destroy it, plus it may very well be a helo controlled by heroes not necessarily Bandits, we did much good wrok with helo's in the mod.

I disagree, in fact how many 100000 vehicle private hive servers do you think will we see? private hives ruined the mod, this seems to me like a solution for the public hive - I couldn't give a shit about custom private hives as I more than likely will go nowhere near them, even finding one that ran vanilla days - just to get away from the scripters were as rare as hens teeth.

hey if you want a private hive I believe your wish will be granted and your server can have nothing more dangerous in it than home made bows and arrows, an ol' shotgun & hoe & pitchfork's where you can all be pumpkin farmers and fight just zombies & sit around camp fires singing songs if you want. not everyone wants that though.

it's weird in bf4 I use like 110/20 from years of playing Arma with the ability to turn my head I can cope with a much smaller FOV as i'm pretty much always turning my head, my eyes are happy enough.. -
i'd say this applies just to big ticket items, probably things like NVG's, thermal AS50's etc etc. i'd imagine

yeah I know what you're saying, but it's the difference between helos being on every single server and only a few. As soon as word gets out that there is a working helo on a particular server.. good luck keeping hold of it!

there talking about everything being persistent - that is important, it means there will be a limited number of particular items ,say "rotor assemblies" on each shard across all servers. It's all well and good hoarding shit, but you have to hold onto it..

server hopping will become "OSR" - other server reconnaissance. then acquisition teams move out based on intel and try and secure what your home server needs, while others try to hold on to what you have on your home server. I kinda like it tbh. Of course there is a great chance i'm completely wrong.

bs. my reading was that they pretty much gave a cast iron guarantee that teleporting would be sorted it was a fault of the mod, well i'm starting to see evidence of it again - that shit needs to be stamped on, no if's and's or but's about it.

the thing that really bugs me about notes is, I wish your character didn't respond in movement when you type, same using DC or radio. dunno if it will ever be fixed. I think notes will become way cooler when they persist as it is now I think they just disappear when the server restarts..

sure as soon as I get more than 16 frames in cities, until then I've no interest in the bean wars being waged in them - unless i'm traveling in a group and then only in an over watch capacity..

^^^^ and I thought i'd seen all the tears in the "we need some way to tell the difference between heros & bandits", if that thing shoots accurately to 1600 meters like the mod, the forums will be flooded. lol..

i'd a fully pimped out m4 with magpul parts and pristine acog just vanish out of my hands tonight, I was running along and next thing no gun in my hand, though my arms and hands looked like I was holding a weapon, it vanished out my hot tool bar, dunno if witchcraft or bug.. sigh..
