I Actually like The Kick They Gave The Mosin

it's not really the kick that is the problem it's the auto chambering of the next round the second the gun is fire that people are taking issue with..
  2. irl-calibre

    Gas masks

well then, you're doing it wrong innit..
  3. irl-calibre

    They are getting ballsy...

this is why you should never log out on a steep incline or above ground level in a building as everything is dropped into the world, they didn't climb up there ;)
  4. it's just pointless if people don't even know the direction they're looking or what their looking at. I said to someone "coming up behind the west wall at the south most hangar" and they just hadn't a notion where I meant & started running towards the SE barracks across the runway, wut!!

Put down case - tree ate it.

if it happens in a bush you can chop it down with your axe and then you can access it, not so much with trees..

    Gas masks

but, it's not simply "cosmetic" just because someone unwittingly dresses as a bandit is their problem, they need to level up :) You can see in all the discussion on the matter that it's generally becoming accepted that heroes don't cover their faces and bandits do , you can either go with the lore or not, but there are consequences for how you dress in the game whether the player is sufficiently aware of it or not.

    Misuse of the term 'Bandit'

look at it this way, when someone shoots at you, the question is, was it in a positive, negative, or a neutral way? positive - did they kill a zombie near you or someone with ill intent towards you = ( hero) neutral - a warning shot? = (survivor) negative - at you to kill you? = (bandit)

    Gas masks

I think as long as they are just cosmetic all types of face cover is being viewd as bandit, still only KOS clowns though.
  9. "Breaker... breaker.. on the side. do you copy 87.8"??? I have yet to talk to a random person on a walkie talkie, I think part of the reason for this is people forget to turn them on, but the damn things eat so much batteries, you kinda need to turn them off and on, it would be kinda cool if they used way less battery power & you could just leave them on. They are only of use really if some random joins the group and isn't in which ever 3rd party voice coms being used. Also I think pristine ones should cover the entire map, with damaged 5km badly damaged around 1k. with the quality deteriorating depending on the condition of the radio. does anyone really use them?

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

better get a shit load of batteries then! if you have had it on for over an hour your battery should be dead, they just drain them..

    DayZ Oculus Rift Performance

Hall was talking about the process of removing DX9, when shot of DX9 and 64bit server support it would become more viable I reckon..

"ah that's a solid 10-4 there good buddy, you hang 10 and gimme your 20" ps - MOAR RANGE LESS BATTERY!

    Bug's in the latest release

ok.. well that's another m4 just vanished out of my hands, gun vanishes, character is still animated as holding a gun, when you press fire it dose a lunge action almost like a bayonet is attached - mosin on back. grrr
  14. pretty sure i'd moved onto white Lists by the time that dancing shit started so I never experienced it..
  15. i'd sooner be tunderdoomed than just the entire server teleported and killed.. total anti-craic'ness
  16. as long as they have the complexity to procure, fly, and maintain that i'm expecting? then... HELL YEAH!

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

oh my poor head! Oh! my poor poor thread what have they done to you? Gibonez take a fucking reddener forthwith and with haste!!

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

their far from useless as you can communicate further than your group chat with randomness, it's not like there is a shortage of them, I find them all the time in fire stations..

whats your rule of engagement on DayZ

I find the most tedious one that goes, I saw someone and shot them. the end. boring, each to their own.

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

totally, I get it for torches, I laugh when I see people running out in fields with them turned on, I've lost power at many an awkward fill the pants moment. but an hour for the radios is harsh. make them last a hundred times longer at least so you can just leave them on to scan the airwaves.

it's a story, narrative always helps a story..

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

yeah I could see that, I was being very generous in the range of a pristine handset, but more so just to get people using them..
  23. irl-calibre

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

they've been knocking about for ages in game..
  24. irl-calibre

we need to talk about the walkie talkies

maybe a good start would be not to view them as something to possess? & then get a CB!

battlefield & COD are on the phone.. they're looking you Chris, they fear you've stumbled into a world too imaginative for you to process, they say you won't be happy, you should go back to them..
