  1. ChocoboDoom

To the two guys on us3333

Their fault for surprising a chocobo.
  2. Guys at Cherno fire-station who ran in as I had just finished looting the tower. I came downstairs and saw you looting some magazines on the floor on the far side. I was going to shoot you first but then your teammate with a ghillie suit ran in to watch the main doors. I took him out instead (Since he had a shotgun) with 3 rounds to the head with my Ak-47. you guys should really be more careful... As for you Mr. Survivor, You ran right back out that door you came in from. I ran back upstairs to the second floor to give you some time to panic I then climbed the ladder through the wall on the second floor and checked around the entrances from the roof for you. After a minute or so i threw a smoke grenade down at the back entrance to bring in some zeds and freak you out. I climbed down the rooftops ladder and went to your teammates body and closed the main doors along the way. (he died by the third door on the right) and saw you in the same spot i attacked from. I leaned out of cover on the doorway and shot you in the head. Good game you two I remember one of your names was Fn. i frogot mr ghillie suits name. Thanks for the alice pack(mine disappeared as i became a bandit again) and the M4A4 as well as the nv goggles and rangefinders. I'll put them to good use for you.
  3. Yeah, I also thought of that. I figured the time it took to set up a camp fire then light it would be enough time to find your target. A campfire is pretty visible. Maybe not being able to log out if a bullet enters a space within 15 feet of you?
  4. Thanks. I'm hoping for a large support group to get this system into the standalone. I don't see any major flaws with it. The pros far outweigh any cons in my opinion.
  5. Ok, so i know a lot of these pop up from time to time but I feel I may have an idea to help with the whole situation. Recently I've been reading some light novels from the guy who wrote Sword Art online. A couple of novels in a log out system is described for an MMO called Gun Gale Online. Here's pretty much how it works.. -Logging out in the wilderness is not a safe idea. You yourself have logged out but since you have not done it in a safe zone such as a town/inn, Your character is in a Soul-less like state for several minutes. --In terms of Dayz this type of log out can work very well. If you are in a gun fight and try to combat log/altf4 your character is stuck wherever you logged out from for several minutes thus leaving completely defenseless. Now I know some people are wondering "Dayz is set in a post-apocalyptic world, how can i log out safely if there aren't any safe towns/inns?" I have a few suggestions for that. According to a few interviews, Player constructions might be a feature of the standalone. If one were to construct a home base or visit another persons construct and were to log out in said home space, then your character would log out safely with you when you disconnect. -Now comes the issue of more mobile characters. I also have another idea for that. Players as of now tend to move around a lot. So the player construction won't always be there to help you safely log out. A couple of things might be able to be done to help that. -Logging out within the warmth of a campfire you or a friend set up. An area of maybe 15 feet from the fire maybe? -Logging out within several feet of a tent you pitched. Up to 5 feet? All you need is some firewood and matches. This type of log out system highly discourages combat logging as it only puts you in more risk then necessary as a player. DayZ is all about survival and risk, I've learned that much in my time playing and watching others tell there stories. The log out system both caters to players who prefer a base of operations, and those who like to keep moving. Please let me know if you have any ideas for improvements or some constructive criticism.

    unarmed massacre

Hey. The way i see it. They were unlucky enough to cross your path.I salute you sir on your act of Banditry. Helpless kills are always the best.
  7. Hey, if this guy wants to get straight into the action. I say let him. I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to get accustomed to the game with a few more experienced bandit players. It's rude to judge people based on your own social values or expectancies. Edit-@ Tifk: I'm on skype, same as my forum name. I'm fairly new but i can definitely show you the ropes and some good areas to hunt/loot. Look forward to the contact.

New player, anyone wanna roll together?

I'd be glad to join you. I'm fairly new myself but I've got a good kit going. My steam name is same as forum name. so let me know when you finish installing or have issues getting Dayz up and running.
  9. Alright wonderful. Thanks a lot for the advice guys. I really appreciate it. Happy Hunting to all of you. Expect to hear from me soon or from my prey.
  10. ChocoboDoom

Music you listen to while playing.

@Vcmedic- you have a good taste for music my friend. Also, what are your policies on being a medic. If a bandit asked for help would you? @flesh Gordan- Thanks for a new artist for me to listen to. much appreciated.
  11. ChocoboDoom

Music you listen to while playing.

What is this, I don't even...... Beans because you made me like the song and completely threw me off guard. My dog even tilted his head at me.. Edit-I want to be sneaky like 2:37-2:41 :D
  12. ChocoboDoom

Music you listen to while playing.

I kind of agree. When I'm running between towns in the woods I like to listen to Odd future for the fast paced insanity. But I'll switch to classical when I enter a town. I have the music player low enough where theirs just an undertone of it compared to my game volume. Gotta love Headsets =) even if the surround sound on this is misleading sometimes.
  13. That hatchet idea sounds fascinating. Something that just entered my list. I'm going to be in the business of stalking players. I'm going to try to avoid high traffic areas for the sole fact that it won't be fun enough. From what i can tell, people hitting high traffic cities are either players without much to lose, or those hunting them. I wont enjoy the sport of it enough i fear. Edit:@Col. Kurtz Can you describe what you mean? Do you mean like timing your shots to adjust for recoil? or like knowing the perfect moment to take him out unsuspectingly?
  14. Awesome, My Inventory/backpack is pretty much the same minus the sniper rifle. I'm keeping that shotgun in my Alice until my friend gets his desktop or I find a nicer weapon for him. I had 2 morphine injectors from the hospital in Electro, but sadly got my legs broken by a lost zombie randomly in the woods. I try to stay alert at all times, thanks for the advice on looting bodies. I'll definitely keep that one in mind.
  15. What kind of music do the Bandits of Dayz like to listen to? Do you listen to music to get you pumped up? angry? motivated? or to calm down and get focused? Is there a specific playlist you have? Are the ambient noises of Dayz music enough for you? So guys, gather round and take a seat around the campfire, roast some marshmallows and chat about how you like your music for Dayz.
