AFAIK Dayz forbids running servers with BE disabled. Not positive about private but public requires BE enabled. Not sure you will find a "quality" server with it disabled but good luck! -

Very informative read thank you. I think it's important to point out to the people demanding dayz fix the hacker issue, They simply cannot so stop asking. What I mean by that is the issue is in the game engine not the mod as the OP pointed out so there is no way dayz can fix that. Dayz is simply a mod of arma2 not a full game thus must be played on the platform it chose. I doubt that will stop people from demanding but I thought I'd throw it our there as a reminder... -
You would still need to find an entrenching tool in the meantime which aren't easy to come by.

Anyone who shoots fresh spawns or otherwise helpless players is a coward. PERIOD. Not a bandit or a survivor. Just a coward. IMO 90% of "Bandits" are cowards who shoot mostly spawns or anyone else that cannot defend themselves. I've met real bandits and they are tough to defeat the rest are not bandits just pretenders. sostronk brought up a good point which I believe is very valid. The dynamic between skill levels is very lop-sided. I won't elaborate on it any more since he did a good job of summoning it up. -
I ran into a dupe one time, Scared the hell right out of me. That was one of those times where afterwards your scared to go to the bathroom without the light on.. Funny shit.

That same guy teleported to me yesterday and started firing silenced rounds.. Tag [NGG] Good thing he was a poor shot.. Hackers are good at hacking but terrible at shooting.. Yes exactly, Trades and uses hacked weapons but wants everyone to believe he's legit.. FAIL. I actually would have given him a little respect if he just said "Yeah I scammed you, So What?" Like a man.

How can you say a hero role is harder then a bandit role? Hero's are only hunted by bandits, Bandits are hunted by everyone, (Especially other bandits). Sounds pretty difficult to me.. Only thing a hero has to worry about is not getting sniped as they skip through cherno or whatever it is they do..

Craziest shot you've ever landed?

Just yesterday I was way up north on one of those mountains with no trees so you can see for miles around looking for tents. I scan the area to make sure nothings coming and just as I turn around a bandit is standing not 5m from me, I was equipped with my 1911 and unload the clip on him, Bye, bye bandit. I'm actually surprised I hit him, He scared the shit out of me and my heart was racing so bad my shots were pretty wild. Just got lucky at least a few shots landed.. That's one teleport he probably wishes he didn't do :) -
Did the same thing. Aiming at a doorway, Bounces off the door frame and lands at my feet.. Bad day.

Why do most clans require 18+ players

Just stick with your age group. I'm 40+ and honestly have a hard time dealing with 20 yr olds. I have zero in common with teens and really have nothing to offer them. Just stick with your age group and you will have much more fun playing. On a side note I wouldn't want my 13/14 yr old hanging out with older guys listening to the language etc. Most of you guys probably don't have kids so you wouldn't understand.
