    I've had a slow blurring and unblurring of the screen when I was hurt that made me want to throw up after about 10 minutes but never a "flashing."

    I'm having this problem too. I was playing just fine then I got kicked from a server saying my BattleEye stopped responding. Then when I reconnected I had 10 fps no matter what settings were changed. I also noticed that my mouse didn't lag when hit escape but the grass in the background still did. A lot of other people on the server I was on were complaining about low fps after 1.5.8 also.
