    I see something wrong but don't think you can blame Dayz Commander for this they allow more than just vilayer servers. So they are not limiting where you can access the game from. They are providing links to the other maps yes I agree. My question is why blame commander. Vilayer is the one doing all the wrong doing. Commander is providing an access point nothing more nothing less from everything that I have noticed I'm not limited to only Vilayer servers when I use it. I don't like what they are doing so ban Vilayer not commander. Do you see where I'm coming from?

    Thanks for your opinion on my reading comprehension. So someone is taking something that is free, changing it, and offering it for free...OMG quick call the interwebz police!!! They are taking a map made with permission from Rocket and making it accessible for everyone the shame!!! They are not charging anything more than any other server hosting company for the extra maps so I don't see how they are profiting other than by giving more options....

    Go to ARMA run through Basic Training for Operation Arrowhead. You'll be very familiar with the basic controls after those 2 training excercises. But zeroing a sniper rifle is the page up page dn buttons

    There is no way if your using speakers for game sounds to get players talking in direct com's to come through your headset. When you talk in game it comes through the speakers because it's suppose to be like your talking IRL. Zombies can hear you talking too, and will aggro to your location when using in game com's. Try TeamSpeak or something like it if your wanting to talk to buddies otherwise it's always going to come through whatever your using for game sounds.

    We usually have at least one aggro, but they give up chase before they get all they way to the top, these kept coming in waves over and over again. it was a bit glitchy too with zombies just appearing in front of us on the stairwell. Not sure what happened but it was different and added a new level of difficulty. Thankfully we had plenty of ammo this trip.

    Do you use your headset as a headset so the sounds all come through them? If your using your speakers for ambient sounds then other players in game will come through them as well since the in game voice is considered ambient sound.

    "Sometime" usually is an appropiate word here... I've been told friendly to find out not friendly...my standpoint is if your friendly you keep your back to me the second I see your weapon come towards me.... you better be able to outrun a bullet.

    Did this server recently reset? I had a tent placed in a location that nobody would of found unless they were taken there. There's only one other person besides myself that knows the location and he also was surprised when he logged in to see it missing. No vehicle access, only way to get to it is walking and it's very very well hidden, and last night i logged in and the tent was gone. No sign of a satchel charge being detonated there.

    I still use Caps lock unless they have a gun then I hide first and then call out to them....if they refuse to respond then I shoot. Moral of the story don't play without a headset....

    So to get this straight your pissed because Dayz Commander is providing people with alternative's and the original map, which Rocket himself has many time's said he thinks is excellent and would liket to incorporate into the Standalone at some point... GENIUS. Here's a thought just quit playing, or stfu. You don't have to use Dayz Commander, it makes it easier to find your friends, play ALL maps and yes it provides you with the other maps.

    Yup that's the basics, there's a youtube vid to walk you through it look up setting up DAYZ commander there.

    My biggest suggestion to everyone who gets the game, get into ARMA II and do the Basic Training Courses!!!! It may save your life to know some basic controls without having to look in the options menu. Also it helps you practice differant aspects of the game thru the different tutorials. Have fun and play friendly.

    I usually find ammo, wait a bit further out than 50m like 100m I usually will take the trash the first visit then wait about 15 and hit it again. FOund a few weapons a couple times.

    So looks like my BA in Electronics Engineering trumps your opinion...thanks for being a tool... OP glad to see that your enjoying the game have fun! I think you may not get much outta just a Graphics upgrade due to your CPU limitations.

    The only thing I could say about the expansions is that they are fun and I get better frame rate playing single player since everything is on my HDD and not on a server somewhere. So you should be fine with the expansions since they should run faster than DAYZ mod runs since it's on your local drive.

    Read your link it states it in there. I also know it uses my CPU more than my GPU because I'am an Electronics Engineer and I test these things it uses all 8 cores of my AMD 8150 running at 4.2Ghz. It barely even causes my GPU to kick up to 2Ghz. I know it uses multi cores because they all show activity at higher levels while I'm gaming close to 110%, while I also know it uses multi- threading since the article you linked also says it does. There's your proof. Unless you want to test it yourself there's lots of tools you can DL to check for yourself.

    I believe it uses Multi-threading and cores...it will assign different lines to different cores to complete a task. That way it optimizes itself to your system using less GPU and more CPU. I don't think that it's set for newer 8 core technologies however...

    The game mostly runs on PCU not GPU (processor not graphics) but you should be ok. The speed of your processor matters more than RAM and Graphics card. Your I5 should perform decently for the dayz mod...no ultra high settings but you will be fine playing...the worst case scenario you run (based on ping) at about 45 FPS.
