I like a couple of the new maps Lingor, Utes, and panthera so far. Other than that it's mostly the same zeds run a bit straighter...and more of them it seems they aggro faster...same scripties, tents are "fixed" I hear, other than that not alot different.

you need to "host" a server so ya renting is only way to set up a private hive. Then it's on that providers hive so not really "private" but more control. And yes your char stays on that "hive". If you play a different server on a different hive then you start over but your original character on other hive stays the same. I know it's confusing!

Haxors eh...yup seen it 2 times in 4 months...game is crap..meh not in my opinion. So here's what I get from your post. You suck at anything other than MW or BF, or hundreds of other cookie cutter FPS games. You whine about hackers when you probably got killed legit, and in general you think "surviving" means hiding out in the forest. I actually enjoy this game and eagerly await the standalone. You Shalt not be missed go play some other game we don't care. Adios amiga! Good Day Sir!

Yup I'm at a loss here. Have you tried to defrag and disk cleanup on your SSD, other than that i can't think of any reason your not getting 60+ FPS on this rig...

Skype has caused problems for me before I use Teamspeak now but that still shouldn't cause a huge FPS loss unless your video conferenced... Chrome is a non issue, and Dayz Commander isn't an issue those are both up when I game too. So the best that I can say is to check the drivers on your vid cards, if that doesn't fix it then not really sure without sitting there looking at the system (so hard doing troubleshooting without seeing how laggy it is) What does Dayz Commander say the ping on said servers should be? Only other thing I can think of is anything over 90 is usually gonna be a tad laggy.

have you tried an internet speed test yet? it sounds like you should be getting 60+ on this game I run it basically on the same system with higher settings. Find a speed test to make sure your net is optimum also. I can't think of a reason why your system is so slow. Have you tried to run disk clean up and defrag lately? Cache can kill FPS too. Also what background programs are running..ie Fraps, teamspeak, Ventrilo, Skype, anything like that?

I have an AMD 8150 but mine is running at 4.2 with 1866 RAM and AMD 6990 GPX card. I have some lag issues on some servers but on others it's 60+ Frames Per Second. So have you tried other servers?

I've come across the "friendly" hacker too. He killed zed's, ran along side of me dropped loot ie food, water, ammo, and before he logged he dropped a hacked weapon. He had a bandit mask, and would say he was friendly when he'd disappear someone would die and then he'd be back at my side. As I see this person as not doing anything malicious I didn't see it as wrong. I was a new player, and now believe this to be wrong but I did not take any weapons just the food water and ammo since I knew the weapon was hacked...he left an M4 cco SD with a grenade launcher, and 15 magazines for it.... I agree admins can call if he was a hacker but he was nice to me.

Wow that's a nice rig. If you find a rig like that on an overclockers site you can pretty much bet you won't have lag. This system will play excellent FPS and on High Graphics.

I can actually see Mtn Dew endorsing this in some way. They have a history of supporting gamers and games. Heinz I'm not too sure of, I can see a new brand of Dew coming out now called: Infection ya that would be cool!

I slide back from the keyboard take a deep breath snap a screenshot of the "you died" and start over again.

I use Fraps alot however I still maintain about 50FPS while recording my setting are on all the highest settings. I'm using SSD's however so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the fact that my FPS only drops at most about 5 points while recording. check your recording settings and other settings in Fraps to make sure they are not seet to report FPS constantly etc...

So the last couple times I've played I have noticed that zed's appear to aggro from an entire village if you fire a weapon. Story: Last night a friend and myself were had a lone zed follow us up into an apartment complex. We shot the zed on the top floor of the large apartment complex. After that more and more zombies continued to arrive. I'm wondering if the aggro has been changed recently to cause this. The zombies would not quit coming. We ended up shooting our way out of the building and running for safety, there were more zombies outside the building and more headed our way from very far distances that should not of drawn aggro with the weapons we were using. Weapons fired: G17, M16A2, M1911, 1866. none of these have a large sound signature. Literally zombies were aggroing to us from over 500m away we watched as zeds came running from a small section of far off town to us. So my question is has the zed behaviour changed to cause them all to frenzy if one nearby does. It seemed like a string effect as one zed frenzied all those in the area did, normally this isn't an issue but it seemed every zed in town ended up at the apartment complex and as they respawned they continued to return to us.

Think you meant me...I've tried both ways headbob on and off, and it's only in this game. I think it's more of a field of view thing...or the blur effect when you look around while moving. Not quite sure but I still like 3rd for open terrain movement.

I play both 1st and 3rd. When traveling distance the first person makes me motion sick, but in town and buildings, etc it's always first person. I agree 3rd person can make it easier to spot over a wall or around a corner. You always have an option to play with it off on other servers.

I have yet to get hit by a hacker but I play on US servers so probably not much help..sorry for your luck try private hive

So many people are quick to judge a free tool. Contact Vilayer with your problems not DAYZ COMMANDER not his fault he did what any one else would have done by providing a clickable link to download the maps. Which in turn made them more accessable. Get off his back about it. He's done NOTHING WRONG!

not the whole community it looks like 3 people in the community the rest of us are fine with DayZ Commander. I have no concern for Vilayer one way or another but I do like the easy downloads for the other maps so I hope they can get something worked out.
