The BE Server connects to the BE Master on port 2313 (TCP) are you getting other errors in your RPT file? or just generic "client not responding" Generally you dont need to open the port though because of the way battleye works. It gets the info for the client and then uses a random port to connect to the master. Also, it depends on your host, data center, etc. A lot of VPS companies are basically just people who have bought a dedicated server (sometimes good, usually bad) and uses VMware virtualization to create several virtual machines and sell them for a profit. Sometimes it's even a PC running in one's home on their cable or DSL connection. One thing i would suggest is to check the connection. RDP on to your VPS and go to speedtest.net and run a speed test. Pay attention to ISP provider in bottom left corner. If it says a home ISP carrier, that could be a problem. Usually it will show a data center or large data company. You can research them and get other info. Then go to http://www.megapath.com/speedtestplus/ if you have jitter or packet loss, that's another problem. From the BE Support site: Client not responding: This can happen if the server's or your connection times out for quite a while or breaks up completely. A common solution is to update your modem/router's firmware. Other than that, please ensure that there are no problems with your internet connection (you might want to contact your ISP).

Hello all! I was attempting to set up dayz server on my dedicated box, and i have come across this error (see below). I've got everything set up as far as configs but it seems that it cannot connect to the SQL database on the localhost (although you can clearly see the startup script has started mysql, and i can use navicat to see the database). Any quick ideas? I'm sure it's something ive overlooked stupidly.

hey baton rouge i used to live there, worked in the old mall. Nice video, that's pretty much what i do on fresh spawns or private hives, the real trick is staying mobile. What server is that? I couldnt really make it out in the video.

the only people ive had a problem with killing me so far in this game is the people who magically appear in front of you with only an AS50, 4-5 magazines of ammo, a flashlight and a bandage. Nothing else. You probably get where im going here.

first life - spawned, it was raining. I had read the guide and thought maybe the trees would give me relief from the cold of the rain. Nope, instead they broke my leg. I bandaged and played for a few hours by crawling around. Found cherno, found the supermarket, then died to a zombie bomb. second life - found the southern military area outside of cherno and got an M14 AIM. survived for a few days then found my first bike @ the lighthouse. Rode toward cherno, got shot by a survivor on the coast and eventually bled out. third life - spawned by a lighthouse, climbed up and accidentally jumped the rail. bled out. fourth life - lasted for three weeks, got killed by a hacker.

i found that the enfield is a great starter weapon, because it teaches you to respect the audible range. Decent for self defense, but you will think twice about using it on zeds.

alienware used to put out a mean machine before the dell buyout. The specs are still nice, but they all seem to have that airflow issue dells are so known for. I have an acer well specced that i bought for around 700 that i would put above several of the 1500 alienwares. Also, i have to 2nd the Sagers as well, well built machines.

Personally i think that's awesome "noob revenge" right there. Mine isnt quite that exciting however... My only revenge story so far is just a few days after i started playing there was a bandit running along the coast killing fresh spawns. I had spawned west of cherno and had a bicycle and a makarov and was riding along the coast toward cherno for supplies when he got me from the road. i was able to escape to the tree line but once i got off the bike i couldn't walk (broke leg), so i patiently waited with my handgun at my side and as soon as i saw him come into view... sweet revenge. And then i died to zeds crawling toward the hospital.. doh!
