Nobody knows the answer really but Chances are high that the Official HIVE will never have any Privately hosted Servers connected to it. Here is how i understand this all: Public HIVEPublic HIVE DatabasePrivate ShardPrivate HIVEThe Public HIVE is connected to the HIVE Database. The Private Shards are also connected to the HIVE Database. Private HIVEs (not released) are not connected to any central Database from BI.

I would suggest you try looking up what your GSP offers - Fragnet does have a file to change the server time upon restart. However the regular BEC files and rules do not necessarily apply for DayZ SA Servers right now.

That - am afraid - got nothing to do with the config files the Providers are able to open up for the customer. EDIT: about MPG - they also listed "can openers" in the previous DayZ feature list - they like to catch customers ;) EDIT: WOW they even have left the "Can openers" inside 0o

You obviously have no idea what is causing this Price - BI is maintaining the Public HIVE Database that is in charge of Player Character data and many more things in the future (loot distribution) - this HIVE infrastructure got to be payed and every Official Server(what you can rent now) got to be connected to this Database.

Obviously you can not. They are under contract with BI so this actually does not happen. We tested every GSP and they all have acceptable performance. Partly agree with you here - however my opinion is also that it is better to leave the Community to host Servers other then having official Servers hosted only by Bohemia

That is the troubling way - you have to screenshot it. As admin you can find the GUIDs in the BEC logfile when the Player was once connected with the Server.

Well then i do not know how you could enable this on a official DayZ Server. Or are you just speculating?

That is indeed interesting - wich Provider is this MultiplayGameServer? Fragnet does not allow this right now - could you post your whole config.cfg file?

There is the whitelist but reserved slots should not be possible - i could be wrong and there is a ability for reserved slots in BEC - would be much appreciated when you could share further details ;)

There is no option to favorite a Server while playing on it. However the last Server will be in you DayZ File over here: C:\Users\YourName\Documents\DayZ\YourPlayerName.txt Search in the textfile for: lastMPServer Or scroll to the bottom.

Administration like in the MOD will not be possible for a long time. Server files and logs will be restricted till they open up the GameFiles completely. BEC logs is the only thing that is allowed right now. We can hope for Kill logs and RCON to execute commands but it will not put you in the same position you would have as a Admin in the MOD.

I agree with you that we need RCON back - however it will not put you in the position to figure out if a player is Hacking/Cheating/Exploiting - all it give you is more convenience in executing commands and see basic Player details.

So please tell me how you would figure out if a Player is hacking or not just by using RCON?

Only question i would have is: from whom you waiting for getting the 'go ahead'? Do not want to be rude and appreciate your open thread here but as a Server Admin you should know what is allowed and what is not.

Obviously alot of Players actually want this - however those Players are playing also obviously the wrong Game and these Admins are going the wrong way imo.

Only real reason i see is that every Private Server Shard will be still connected to the Private HIVE Database - this is bandwith that needs to be payed - the more User connect the higher the costs will be.

You will never be able to setup starter gear on a Official Private Shard Server that is connected to the Central HIVE Database. Myselfe as a Admin must say i will never even think about starter gear - it ruins the Game in so many ways. Ofc we need to pay the Server costs somehow and ask for a small fee to connect to our Private Servers wit rule sets - our Public Servers will always be free but without rules.

Right now it is disabled but we will enable this again when the PvP Server is fully operational.

Yes we had some problems with our BEC instance - this will be fixed as we speak i would suggest to play on our PvE Server for now.

Hi Rolle, Played on your RP-Server back then - great to see it is still a thing! From what i understand you gain access to certain error logs they afraid of you could possibly abuse when using RCON. What we rlly would need is: Kill logs (to enforce rules like PvE) Connection logs (to whitelist easily and enforce rules like "no combat log" or ghosting) Regards

We just enabled Persistence on the PvE Server. So there is alot of loot on the PvP Server because persistence is disabled and loot will respawn every hour. And less loot on PvE Server because persistence in enabled. Loot on PvP Server and build your Camp on the PvE Server.
