Just because it is not maintained does not mean it's invalid... you were placed on it for a reason, and they apparently require(d) pretty solid evidence to add an ID to that list. No, it's not terrible, and it's unlikely you were placed there on a whim. As long as I run a server, I'll continue to use that list. Good luck though

I'll reply to your PM, but, I did reply to your clanmate the first time he asked, then I had to walk away to do something else, he was gone when I got back. I would have seen the thread sooner but I was overly busy this weekend and the forums were not on my list of 'musts'

Just ran across this... I banned 3 out of 4 NWA blokes all at once, yea? I told the 4th what happened, and to have you guys email me. My email address is in the MOTD, I would have (notice that's past tense) asked you a couple of questions, the answers to which would have saved a lot of grief. The next guy to get banned for teleporting, which is what you were banned for, followed instructions and emailed me. I figured out what was causing the false positives, fixed the problem, unbanned him and he was right back to playing. You can't be bothered to follow instructions, you just come here and spout off instead... so, I know what was wrong now, know you were not teleporting, but I'll be damned if I'd remove the ban.

There's a reason they stay sold out, they're worth it... every time they put up a new server there are people waiting to pounce on it... and it's sold out like like B;acK Friday's big screen TV deals... I'm glad I made the jump when I did... it didn't take me long to figure SS out, I'm just surprised at the people who read these forums and go to them anyway!

On your CP - right below the 'Vehicle Limit' block, is a link to change starting loadout... pretty simple interface, select what you want them to have and save the loadout. You can't swap the backpack though, that you will need to do in the database The nighttime thing is a bug... I don't run daytime only, and can't rememebr what you need to do to fix that...

Swapping maps doesn't change the IP, changing datacenters (i.e. from Dallas to Seattle, or something) does. Changing maps does wipe the database, so I always back mine up locally first.

Been renting from them a couple of months, this is the 3rd host I've tried, and so far, will be the last, I don't feel the need to look anywhere else. I have only had one 'outage' and it was less then 30 minutes. I've had to wait a couple of hours for a reply before, but that reply was to let me know the request was already completed.

That's what I meant, I don't have a way to report players. I must have misread "So keep reporting all the players under Player Database -> Report to DaRTBans." I took that to mean that the option was there, but I don't seem to have it. I look forward to it though

Am I missing something? I don't see this option on the Player Database tab. And, Sync Database is there but greyed out. (maybe because I only have 1 server loaded?)

1. - Not yet 2. - Pretty much instant, so yes, if you order today you'll be playing 5 minutes later 3. - couple of clicks and POOF 4. Pretty sure they will swap ya from pub to private no problem, can't say about the other way around. 5. - I get pretty damned fast responses in email and irc, unlike someone else i used who would take 24+ hours to give a response, and then it would be something useless half the time.

almost 2 months later this is still going on? Holy Crap! Give it up people... if you don't like the way a server is run, don't play on it. Last time I checked there were plenty of other servers out there. I've got no stake in this thread, other than the fact that I deal witht he same crap now and then. I ban someone, and have to listen to other people bitch and moan about how I choose to handle things. In my case, it's a private hive, and I feel free to point them to the public servers. Let OCN do what they want with their servers, just don't play on them if you don't like the way they handle them, pretty simple really. The OP is on my ban list as well - I can't even remember what for now, not from CBL, it's my own entry, and a generic not labeling him as a 'Skiddie' so he did something on my old public server, and I'm fairly sure OCN got it right when they banned him.

I flipped up my Gotcha console right at the end of it... Because it was setting off teleport alerts. Caught and banned the guy, didn't take much to figure it out. he admitted to it. I'm seeing reports like this from other places as well. Short version is, it looks like the latest Bliss may be the problem, something to do with the DB. The issue starts for most when they have over 40 people on the server. I can't prove it right or wrong, I haven't had over 20 on at once since the updates, just repeating things...

Yea, Gotcha lives on your computer, not on the server, I keep it running on an old laptop that I can leave up all the time. You populate the whitelist in the settings tab, and as long as it's set up, and running (with acess to your server of course) it seems to work okay. I was using it, but flipped my server wide-open again, I didn't miss the hackers, but the random drop in players are nice to have... and with a whitelist, or password, they just move on to the next server.

EDIT: Nevermind - Khyron isn't worth the rant. They should be paying you. it sounds like you handle their support and you definitely handle their public relations. I said what I needed to say to SS, so until you actually represent them officially, I won't waste any more time with you.

And that is why I cancelled right there. bsmaff's report of Dayz.st is correct, Ersan and his crew worked their asses off to get it done and it is. HFB seems to have their ducks in a row, as far as response times go, when I was with them they were quick to respond, and fix. I was dumb enough to leave them for the 'flash' that was SS. Too bad the flash is broken more than it's working, at least for me. ViLayer apparently responds pretty quickly, I wouldn't know personally, but it's what I've seen reported... But the answer here is, and always has been, we're not doing it, we don't care to provide excellent customer service. I'm pretty sure the business model must be "This isn't Burger King, you get it our way or you don't get the damn thing" So, as the mans reply says, if you don't like it, leave, get the F* out. When enough people do they will realize their mistake. When it's no one left but their fanboi Khyron, and a few stubborn holdouts, the response times should be better anyway!

More bandwidth coming your way Khyron - 11/5 is the billing date for me and I won't be renewing... server is unplayable, everyone getting disconnected for high ping. Last response I got was that 'the internet is under attack' and a series of links to prove it! Which is apparently what's causing my ping problem... even though I don't have that issue on any of the non-SS servers I log into. Anti-Hax banned me from my own server, and was banning other people, Object Flooding - they were spawning zombies! How dare they! I finally had to disable it. SS told me to uninstall it... WTF good does it do? Whitelist still not working - the answer was to use a password, and Gotcha... Vehicles not spawning, I have to do those manually All the great features they advertise are not helping me at all...

^^^^ That it has gotten better, but not that much. 3 more days and I see the end of my billing cycle with SS, still no resolutin to my laency issue, just keep being told to reinstall bliss 3.7, which is not helping. whitelist still not working, but maybe, in a few days it will be... then again maybe not. 502 errors are finally gone, doesn't help my server any though And, standard practice is still 24 hours for ticket response. I have had some come much sooner, but they were the exception, not the rule. I think I'm tired of messing with it, I'll just go play on everyone elses servers instead of spending all my time trying to get mine fixed.

ticket 197897 - for the whitelist issue Password and Whitelist? Can do, but it seems redundant. I'm also seeing the high ping issue again. Reinstalling 3.7, again, it did seem to solve the problem yesterday, but it's back again this evening.

Whitelist Pro failing, again... I'll be switching mine back to Gotcha I guess, means leaving my PC on all the damned time, but at least it's reliable.

Okay, everything except tcadmin just went repeated 502, no matter how many times I refresh Briefmobile.com, which is on the same IP as susrvivalservers.com is displaying "Our servers are experiencing an overload in connections!" Shared space is a killer...

And I was wrong. 3.7 is available, and SS has it showing for installation.
