In DayZ's case I would point towards the Minecraft model, pay a one time fee to get registered in the database and get access to login. This ^^^

At night, I never alter my graphics setting in any way, that would be cheating. What I do is change my server to a daytime one. ;)

I did yes. But I now play Arma II more than I play DayZ, so I am more than happy with my purchase.

My suggestion is... If a player kills another player then they, the murderer, should become a zombie. It would bring a few benefits to the mod plus prevent it turning into a gank mod. Half intelligent zombies, the mind boggles. ;)

Myself I would forget the night bit and replace it with dusk or dawn. But that is just my preference.

LoL, thanks. That would explain why all the UK servers are playing a night time game. I guess I will have to wait until tonight to play in the day.

Is there a trick to finding out which servers are playing it at night time? I can't seem to find anything on the server listings.

Anyone that shoots and kills another player should loose that much humanity that he becomes a zombie, then at least the ganker can become useful to the game play by adding a tiny amount of intelligence to the zombie hoards.

It seems the game has transformed itself into a ganking fest, no one seems to give a monkeys about the zombies any more. Get rid of the zombies and rename the mod to GANKZ. :)
