BattleEye pushed out a faulty update. It's 100% the fault of BattleEye and nothing you did.

You ordered a dedicated server. They take a long time to set up since they have to be built and installed on a rack in a Datacenter, which isn't anything we can control. And, assuming we'd put DayZ on it for you is your issue as you ordered a dedicated server and not a DayZ server. We gave you the RDP details in the ticket you sent when we ourselves got the information. There wouldn't be a reason to withhold the information from you. Edit; the ticket was sent in yesterday. Not two and half days ago. Still, I apologize for the lack of promptness. The only statement you made that deserves an apology for is the lack of response to your support ticket. Currently, we're in the process of renaming every DayZ server as per request of the DayZ Dev team and that has taken most of our attention. Hopefully later on tonight. If not, then tomorrow.

Sna.ke, thank you. I will keep what you've said in mind while making future posts. As for the inexperienced comment, it's not entirely false. I apologize for my misguided actions. When this occurred I was incredibly tired (was up 40 hours) and wasn't thinking as clearly as I should have been. I approached this situation in the incorrect manor and once again, I apologize. Poet, they were chosen carefully. I decided to use that particular word for emphasis. I edited it because some people dislike the word. My intention was not to offend and I assumed that the readers would understand that. Regardless, my opinions do not reflect the opinions of HFB. (Note, quite a lot of Dev team members / Forum Mods have signatures that specifically say, "My opinions are my own and are not reflection of the DayZ Staff." It's the same in this case.) As for the comment about my "bitching," I was actually notifying those who were surprised when the change happened that an email had been sent out to all customers several hours prior to the change. But, your choice to host with us is your own. We offer quality service for the least amount of money on these forums. If you would like to fault me for my actions, go ahead, I welcome it as I deserve it. But do not try to insinuate that this is a reflection of HFB as a whole. HFB usually only puts in the latest Beta update when DayZ has an update as well.

urbanfox, to be fair, an email was sent out prior to these changes and it wasn't our choice. The Dev Team made the decision to force this naming convention and any problems that arise because of it should be addressed to them and not HFB. On a personal note, my words mirrored the attitude of those complaining and were chosen carefully. Instead of inquiring as to why the names were being changed or checking their emails for the announcement, people whined. Personal, as in not the opinion of HFB.

To everyone who is complaining; DayZ Dev team forced us to make the name changes. Change the beta version and difficulty in the server name yourself as it would take us to long to do it ourselves. Sorry. There was an email sent out hours before we began making any changes, too. Edit; You'll have to modify the name to include any special options (Waypoints, 3rd Person, ect.) as it would be to time consuming to do these changes ourselves.

Bubba, you're probably joining a server that's far from you.

The Control Panel has a web console. You can also set a RCON password by using the File Manager to navigate to "BEServer_activeXXX.cfg" which is located in "cfgdayz/BattlEye" and adding "rconpassword [password]" to the file If you do not have the file then create one called BEServer.cfg and add the rconpassword part. This will allow you to use the RCon GUI Tool, too. Just make sure your server is stopped before making this change.

LVG, I've never seen a suggestion for a radio ever. I don't know what you're talking about.

That's exactly correct. You'll have FTP access to your own server, but everything you need to do can be accomplished through the control panel.

When you order shared DayZ hosting you're getting a single DayZ server that's hosted on a dedicated server that we (HFB) owns. The "shared" part of this is that the dedicated server is shared between different customers, each with their own DayZ server. You seem to know what a VPS is so I'll give you an example using those. Think of the shared DayZ server like a VPS. You would have multiple VPS nodes on a single server box.

With Hetzner, it's semi-unlimited bandwidth. You get a 100mbs connection up to 10TB of data. After that, it's throttled down to 10mbs. (Per month)

HFB doesn't refund. Neither does NFO though. That's what some of the people are mad about. If you wanted a US server, I'd say HFB is the way to go. (Though, I do have a bias.. ;3). Vilayer is definitely the European choice.
