    Z for Zero ? day Zero as in the first day like in year zero when a new calender starts or a major events takes place and you start from that point on with counting the days ?

    Would love to play but

    you are playing on a simulation engine not a game engine where you have studio lights to backlight the sky please try not to confuse the mod and the game engine which was designed for realism rather than game play. for that you go to battlefield cod or l4d, they make it so you don't have to complain about the basics, they have adjusted them for your gameplay. the mod has nothing to do with the lighting in this game and although they might be able to adjust it, it would also effect the core game which is going to be negatively effected by it.

    Melee attack

    it would be nice to do that, but i guess that the melee attack should be cumbersome so it does not work when attacked by more than one zombie, i found it strange that in a survival game you do have an ax and knife but are not able to use them on zombies, improvisation is key to surviving. i also think you should be able to use the JD bottle to hit a zombie or survivor. i understand that rocket does not want to make it a hack and slash zombie game like l4d and all that, but surely he must understand that having items in inventory which are multi use irl should be in a survival game multi use. even if limited for game sake.

    1.7.1 is a joke...

    i have yet to try the 1.7.1 update but the people asked for more zombie gore and i see it is there, be careful what you wish for i guess. going from the feedback this level seems to be what people actually asked for.

    Vehicle modification ( you need drive-bys )

    there is a mod for arma 2 that has passenger freedom of weapons, able to aim and shoot don't know which mod but i know it was with the little bird on the co pilot seat and side seats never tried the mod but i read about it on armaholic, i think the passenger (s) should be able to have a limited arc of fire.
  9. bandit skin was dropped some patches ago people shot the skins on sight but you would get the skin even with self defense so it was counter productive
  10. a para drop would be nice maybe with steerable parachute or static so new lives spawn all over and there is no concentration of fresh beans, also the tent cities with vehicles would be more vulnerable. being ejected from a plane is just as disorientating as being washed up on shore

    mental issues.... we are gamers isn't that enough ? you're in a world with infected people aka zombies, the game states them as zombies the creator as infected, mental enough ? you may kill a bandit but not a survivor because your face changes, but zombies shoot them, they are just infected people and we have yet to find a cure, shoot them. mental enough ? you loot and shoot. mental enough ? god, you want pills with that ? please go watch some reality show. i really wonder why people think pills are any help in game or irl maybe you should think more and shoot less, drink less and watch your diet maybe some idiot comes with the idea that red meat is bad for you and the vegan population demands that meat eaters gain less health or die from heart attacks pills really ? we got morphine epi and painkillers. empty JD bottles all over, maybe fill them up first so you can make a JD cola a red bull instead ? sorry the whole pills to make you better is fucking up the real world and you want that to cross over in the game world ? maybe for that sake yes but do not make them mandatory for single type players. that is pushing the punishment again edit for constructive shit this game needs a form of communication other than voip or writing, like i said before, have an option to visually communicate intentions

    you could be a collector of journals be it through banditry or survivor scavenger this would be fun if there were forums where you could post the lost and found maybe gives meta gaming a bit more fun and gives feedback to the dead and living, you could also use it for bug reports ? Edit with screenshot option ? or photo camera ? i would like a photo camera in game, :D maybe for bug report uses and or team uses have server info and player info added in the file ?

    Murder and NVG's

    limit the life of nvgs like one hour of use max. this would help a lot and make them less rare then.

    Campfire mechanic - 'Fire Gazing'

    like the idea, but the added plus on meat should be less. maybe if consumed near the fire it gives more, but not when packed up and consumed later i would not add the 1600 but more like 1000 just a little incentive or make it time dependable. longer the rest by the fire and eating the more it returns to you

    Wish List

    keeping a journal, when you die some one can read your days, then they know how you lived. in real survival situations this helps you keep sane if you are afraid and alone and also works as an extension of memory, where you found stuff and what you ate where etc. you could do it manually as an option or as a log file thing. manually would be nice as you can also send the killer a curse or a joke. cigarettes, and filled bottles of JD (with the perks it brings, dehydration and faster consumption rate, maybe drunkenness, losing body temp) armbands as identifiers, optional and slightly forced, http://www.dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10885&pid=118047#pid118047 ductape and improvised explosives (need to test that one) a jerry can with a m203 flare ductaped to it and or just the filled jerry can and being able to shoot it to let it explode. the flare would add a little more spunk to it. simple things like that. the electrical system as in http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=6791 random zombie spawn, when you die you can be respawned as a zombie to have some much needed more intelligent zombies around. find some mechanic like humanity system or zombie kill count to deal with the likelihood to spawn as a zombie. call it karma ? only way out of the zombie is to be killed by a survivor (that would be fun)

    the idea is partially from terminator salvation and partially because we want everything boxed and color coded. it still does not give away the serial killer and psychomaniacs but it does give players an option to communicate without typing or voip which is the general principal needed to identification.

    actually in reality lone wolfs eat less and drink less because being together puts more strain on the brain. it would be counter reality to make it so, you might be faster at ease with some one than without some one but that is a personal thing and again real lone wolfs have not that much of a problem with it in real life.     give players an option to show they do not kill survivors, that is all you need, have you killed you can not show or use that option. in another thread i wrote about using armbands you can option on or off at spawn or as long as you have not killed, once you made a kill self defense or not that option is gone and no armband for you, the good guys change rather than the bad guys and it is an option, lonewolfs should not be penalized because they fear the people or group mentality, maybe add color to the armband to show what type you are generally speaking, green blue red, for each type of gamer, green for coop in general, blue for a team, red for a lone wolf, black for a killer who chose the armband at first. none for those who opt out of the armband system ? just an example of armbands with binos or just when meeting you can see what kind of player some one is, this way with direct comms you can call upon some one, and have better idea of what you are encountering,

    maybe there should be a player option that allows non murderers to have an armband or something simple like that (people have it as an option) and when you have a murder you lost that option ? when you kill some one and you did have that armband you loose it, regardless of self defense, most of the time you can hit some one and not kill them ... you shot a human/survivor. this would still not be a problem as to the option of the armband (example) because not everyone will chose it because of the noob factor or carebear factor. this would allow people to "band" together more easy and see from a distance what the person might be like, sure there will be "tricksters" but that is a one time only deal might be the duct tape we need :D

    Pending Update 1.7.1 Details

    if there is no light source you see nothing, i have walked many times in pitch black and in groups, you could not see your own hands in front of you nor the guy in front of you when walking in a forest, all you do is walk on hearing and touch in that regard chernarus nights are just the same. it is shitty at night in the forest but i can assure any one if you go to a forest at night and it is clouded or the trees are close, no light will be present under the canopy.

  25. the hurt it causes is that you (those out of bounds) actually horde the resources out of reach of other players and take more resources from the game/other players with them having no real chance of finding them or being able to loot them, unless you got a chopper. there is a game map, and i think anywhere outside that map is off limits. because there is nothing there initially that is part of the game, no Zombies no loot no resources only what you cowards bring to remote places that are unrealistic to be found by others. you actually remove the game from the playing field and go beyond it, like playing chess with the pieces that are not on the board. it does hurt the game.
