I couldn't agree more, the real problem is lack of consequences. If your game stopped working after you died, people may actually simulate what this would be really like, so until then you cannot call this a realistic simulation of such events :) Cool interview thanks for doing it and posting it for the community!

I have noticed that there are a lot of Twitch.TV DayZ streamers who do this and usually call it "donating" to "access" their server. First off I don't mind people doing this, just don't call it a mandatory donation because that's called a fee and is no way donating - however you slice it. This will ultimately ruin the community in my opinion.

I try to adopt the hero personality, so if I can avoid killing someone I will try it. The fact of the matter is that this is about survival, so if you can kill someone for supplies to help yourself live longer I would go for it. I even try to help them if they are a newer spawn, anything I can spare, and I NEVER shoot an unarmed player, or axe wielding player who isnt trying to gut me from behind. But you never know if someone got your nameplate and will get retribution next time so, well that all depends on what difficulty mode or server options your server is using, and how you perceive yourself in the DayZ world.

You can add this to the additional launch parameters: -mod=@dayz;@rMod You' have to remove it if you go back to dayz regular type servers or you will get error messages. I'm sure theres a way to create a batch file with the correct parameters, but I wish DayZ commander could do it seamlessly.

Rocket is a tremendous inspiration to us all. To go from a modification creator, to selling a million boxes of Arma 2, to becoming a employee is just an amazing story. It's too bad that the WarZ game is forcing paid alphas from sides however, keep your integrity man, and profit will follow.

Let's hope that second time is a charm. This should be fun. Let's be sure to top Starcraft 2 again, in terms of concurrent viewers, or maybe another game!

Hehe vehicles can be a real pain in the ass, best time is to snag one after a restart. I'm not sure if vehicles respawn tho since they fixed tents and vehicles in a previous patch.

currently: m16a2 m203 w/ a few grenades, and smokes just incase. pdw assault pack :( trying to get myself some more military gear as well. and a bigger bag!

Hello! I am replying to this because I really like the idea of your vision. I've always consider myself a fairly decent good guy, I always give people changes and have been shot in the back a few times because of it. However this won't change my ways - it will just force me to be more careful. either way, I'm an older gent (32/california/professional web dev) and if this becomes fairly successfull i would be glad to put a web page up for this community. This looks really good, I tuned in on Saturday to check it out. Pretty interesting that it peaked 26,000 viewers, beating out Starcraft 2 for that moment. Was also great to hear rocket. Wouldn't be surprised if was another dev team with a similar game coming out, causing issues for it. It's too bad but I can't wait tot see it anyways.

I r 32 and I've been playing games ever since my father introduced Centipede to me on the 2600. He was a gamer too. Once your a gamer, you are it for life.

This is a cool idea and it may work when player cities are introduced, which will be the first expansion pack :D After the paid beta, soon!
