Every time I go into DayZ my settings were not saved so I have to do them over and over. Is there a fix for this?

I saw this and just wondered if it helps much. I would try, but I can't get on at the moment. I already get good frames at high, but just wondering if changing these cfg files actually helps? GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;
