I don't know if you remember me among the massive onslaught of wining ass hats, but I'm reidloS doG. I criticized your work on the premise that your testing team was shit. Ironically, being the fact that you don't have one and I am a part of the real testing team, I still think your testing team is shit (being a bunch of dicks makes them so). I was being an asshole. A big part of me wants to give you money, not as an apology, just cause I keep wanting to give you money because of how great the mod is. This IS my dream game Rocket. If you check out MMOzed.com, you will see there is a group of people looking for exactly this game. You are a good dev. You are an even better person. Thank you for not saying F.U. to the entire community and just waiting to let out patches after they are tested. By all means, you deserve a professional team. You deserve a 50-100 man dev team, working on something this great. I truly think that. I hope that BI gives you a deal. I hope that maybe Valve is looking at you and thinking "Holy Shit, this is just a mod and this guy basically made BI $3,000,000 (this is a correct estimate)." But most of all, I hope you receive money. You deserve every last penny.

What? First off, I didn't say it that. I simply said I agreed with the overall post. The average gamer is NOT a CoD player. 20% of the market is made up of CoD. The other 80%? Everyone else. The average gamer is not a casual player. I am not a casual player. No one on the this mod is likely to be a casual player. If the complaints and pros are 50/50 when it comes to a game, chances are high you want to change it. I'm not saying return the game back to 1.7, but at least reduce the likelihood of bleeding out or going unconscious. I'm fine with the damage, but bleeding out ever time I get attack sucks. Then there is the fact the zombies run too freaking fast, so fast you don't even hear them till they are right next to you. This game is not suppose to be Demon Souls, it's suppose to be a game where long-term survival is possible, but difficult to achieve. Not impossible. Rocket has stated he would love to promote community building, but it's nearly impossible with this new patch. I shudder to think what it would be like to try and move a group of people around zombies at the NW airfield. Nearly impossible. Tell you what, what are the good things about this update? Everyone that says this update is great doesn't have very many reasons. So bring them up people. I'm sure all of us "whinners" would love to tell you what we think of your ideas, since you seem to not present them. Not even close to impossible. Stop shouting statements like they're facts.. they're only your opinion. I don't feel it's difficult to survive at all.. and FAR from "nearly impossible". Those who constantly die with the changes are just impatient.. thats all. So far I only died once and quickly learned my lesson. It's easy to get away from the zeds now and the few bugs have already been identified. We don't need to state tons of good reasons.. all of the reasons it was good before are still there. The few changes that make it great now are the zeds behaviour, line-of-site, no starting weapon etc.. few bugs sure but it's alpha. Stop speaking like everyone agrees with you.. From what I've been reading it's pretty split down the middle on who does and doesn't love the changes. Give it a chance and time.. he doesn't have to please everyone with every change. Go play it or don't.. and see how it evolves as we go. I'm sure Rocket is going to monitor feedback very closely. IN the meantime, I love the changes.. some agree some don't. It's not like I'm entitled to the exact game I want and neither is anyone else. Just play the game or don't. So far I haven't died. I have profited from this update. Before the update I had a MP5SD (of course just notable things that I am listing). I now have the Coyote Backpack (upgrade from Alice) and a M4A3 CCO, with a lot of beautiful ammo. Seeing as you have actually died, I think you should be the one complaining. I have adapted my tactics and I can live like this, but I just don't see it possible to have a group of 50+ people working together in this. Zombies agro easier, which I have no problem with. Again, the knocking bleeding out, breaking a bone, and going unconscious part of this equation is far too high. The loot spawns are amazing, but I'm soloing everything and still having trouble from hiding from the zombies. Again, I'm fine with the damage. It's simply the idea of a permanent community that is being threatened by this patch. Going to NW airfield will yield higher casualties because zombies were already pretty difficult to deal with (you would waste a lot of ammo once you agro the zombies), then there is a the human factor all ready. Humans raised the difficulty of DayZ already, and I'm fine with that. I simply think bleeding out, breaking a bone, and going unconscious is currently too high. I haven't died yet, but these things have almost made me die. I have already adapted, but I have great weapons. I'd hate to see what happens when you don't have a silenced weapon in a military encampment.

sorry but george A romeros creation counts more then your opinion. lol fail tough guy troll attempt by you I disagree. Who cares about one guys vision of zombies. The zombies now are perfect imo. Man up. Ah, the good old "man up" when you are trying to degrade someone else's average skills, when you obviously have good skills. Shows just how understanding you are of the situation, especially with new players.

Umm yeah like I said "you need to google 'Positive Feedback'", review you comment and get back to me :), you stupid retard. Yeah you can tell Rocket if the patch is bad, but there is a massive difference between(The magic word again) POSITIVE FEEDBACK and bitching and whining like little girls. Funny how you expect those with feedback to have positive feedback when you can't even do the same for yourself. People are getting emotional over losing long time standing characters. Read about a guy that had a 15 day character that died at one deer stand because they just kept coming.

Have you been to a deer stand yet and had the unfortunate event of being spotted? Easily 10 zombies spawn on deer stands now with near super human strength (can't get attacked without going unconscious). I'd hate to even see what happens at NW airfield *shudders just thinking about it* I believe that attack range was increased to so that running away would be less beneficial. -

WE don't sleep. You are suppose to be making a great game, and with it you should be working hard, but also relaxing. We perform our best when we are alive, not when we are the walking dead.

I'm not trying to be rude' date=' but did you miss the 95 page thread, "20 words or less: Spawning without a weapon", with nearly 1000 replies and 45,000 views? I'm not trying to be rude, but did you miss the 25 page thread "1.7.1 rolling update" where everyone started complaining about how easily the zombies see you and instantly spawn when you kill them? How something like this could get through beta I don't know. I mean you had people test this right? I'm very happy loot spawns more frequently and has better stuff (got a M4A3 and Coyote Backpack at the NE airstrip), but that was only because the zombies can't see you at night. Is this really how you imagine DayZ? Agro from a good 30 meters while prone during the day? If you are trying to make this a night game, it is working. I'm not going to play during the day with this update ever again. *edit* when I say beta I mean testing this patch, not the beta for DayZ. I know DayZ is in Alpha.

Thanks Rocket, for making this completely unplayable. Not only are the zombies stronger, they respawn INSTANTLY. Holy mother of God. I was at a deer stand and killed TWELVE zombies, and guess what? They JUST KEPT COMING!! A deer stand? Really? Just went unconscious because after crawling back to the deer stand (proned I might add), a crawler is crawling right towards me through a bush. BAM. Instant recognition of me. This is a deer stand. Why is there instant zombie spawn on deer stands? Is there instant change of loot spawn? Cause they are more powerful, see from farther distances, and the crawlers are impossible to shoot in the head once they are running. This is madness. I think I might just stick with 1.7 for now, wait till the time for life expectancy goes below 25 minutes and let you figure out how dramatic of a difference this is. Why don't they go away? That's it really. That's my main problem. If I kill three zombies at a deer stand, that should be it. But now they just keep coming... Come on. I know I'm filled with emotion, but this isn't fair. Seriously.

I agree. Everyone should calm down. Rocket is now currently working full time on the mod (or rumor says so), and it will get fixed. If the game is unplayable, go play a different game. I will say though, BI should really invest more paid individuals (are they already doing so?) because of the increase in sales they never really thought would take place. Support the game more, it's going to make Arma 3 far more important it was going to be.

The similar IP might be a VERY VERY specific issue for you. I rarely hear of LAN party's taking place with this game. Battle Eye might be kicking you because of the similar I.P. maybe? What is the warning you get when you are kicked? -
The way I understand it (I'm a player, not a admin or anyone with any authority), but 1.7 works "better" with the beta patch. I do not have the beta patch, and not having it is suppose to bring up the retrying to authenticate screen. This means it's more of a mod issue than server or user based. That's my understanding.

Loading the player can download this file, which the hacker to access the infected system, without the user being aware of it. The file has now been removed and there should be no danger anymore. However, all players are asked to examine your system for viruses or malware. " I just checked my computer for viruses, and I only play DayZ on this thing. Trust me on this, I don't do anything else or go to shady websites with my expensive computer. I already found 2 virus threats.

I simply leave the game and go back in. Or you can go through steam, right click on Operation Arrowhead, and click properties. Go to local files and click Verify integrity of game cache...

Um, I don't think it's 1.7, I think it's been the past week. I downloaded 1.7 right when it came out for beta, and it has only been for the past week that lag between players. In less you are talking about actually having difficulty joining at the same time on the same IP address, that sounds like a very specific issue.
