So bandits kill, method varies but all bandits kill. What I'm wondering is how you guys prefer to follow up the kill. Do you immediately take to side chat to claim your kill? Most people start raging after being killed by a bandit. Do you defend your actions, run salt in the wound, or just don't say a word and leave them wondering who killed them? Rabid

I just came back to the game myself about two weeks ago now after being gone since September. Download the games and jump on the server I play on. It's got enough original stuff that it keeps the DayZ feel (some servers are spawning you with a sniper rifle now <_< ) and it's got enough new content that you don't run out of stuff to do. I'm having a blast.

I tend to camp out near a field with an abundance of hogs. The beans might be better than usual, but the bacon... oh my

I don't kill a lot of people on F8L server but if you happen to see someone raging about being killed and nobody is responding.... Well....

Did Harvey skype video chat you too? Gosh that was odd, I couldn't hang up fast enough. And the way his right arm never stopped moving.... Never again will I believe a profile pic.

Yeah for sure, did you want the ones where you are actually eating the beans from the can or cooked and in a bowl? Lemme know I'll get both up to a photobucket

Ahhh gotcha. I spend too much time on long range shooting forums where it's MUCH easier for everyone to assume shooter is error free and look at stats only lol

Another personal observation here on how to keep things from getting stale. Take more risks. You've got yourself all geared, you have your vehicles, and you got that way by being smart and careful. Well stay smart but ditch the careful. And make it about the other players on your server. Make an effort to interact a LOT good or bad. Hunt down everyone you can, this is dangerous and unless your server is really bad will probably end in your own death. Or help everyone you can, every person who needs a ride or medical attention as long as they aren't a known bandit. Play smart still, so scope out the area don't walk into a certain death trap. If you have a suspicion it MIGHT be a trap though, try and beat it. Don't just avoid a dangerous situation, seek it out and try to beat it. Hunt the good guys and save the bad guys, just be risky! No more fat sack of loot when the bambi had sniper cover. Or bigger sack of loot when you killed the sniper and the bambi :)

That's actually reverse. Shooting above you the bullet will drop faster, so if you shoot low you will hit even lower. And when shooting down the bullet will have less drop, so aim lower than usual because the bullet will hit higher than if at level gound.

I recommend watching 0 youtube videos, you won't play this game very long if you do. The noob experience is the best part of the game. Being lost, scared, and unarmed while creatures growl in the night is when DayZ sinks it's hook into you. That being said playing on a server where people will give you a hand is a huge plus. My humble recommendation to you veteran players is simple. Stop using choppers, stick to the ground. Even if you have a good vehicle ground travel takes so much longer it will easily use up your time and of course give you a higher chance of running into another person and tense scenario. If you have a few hours to play at night and log in and jump in your chopper you have to come up with a LOT more stuff to do. Add some travel time to your routine. Works for me.

Hey everyone hope this finds you all well. I played Dayz back in the fall for a few weeks and LOVED it but found the hacking to be such a big issue I figured I would wait for the full release. Lately I decided to poke my head into the forums and I'm not noticing every post being about hacking like it was at the time. Has this issue been fixed? Can I safely play on a public server and not worry about getting killed by hacks? I would love to play Dayz again and my brother (being that we are both kind of prepper/survivalists) I know would love to play it as well. Thanks in advance for any replies. Rabid

I say do it, find a private hive you like and enjoy. I don't join many public hives at all anymore so if there are still hackers there I don't see them. I just grabbed a private hive I like and I only play there. No hackers and the game is fun for me again. Feel free to join up asavirus, server is in my sig. Rabid

I recommend both of you guys download DayZ Commander because it makes it MUCH easier to find servers. The server I play on does have night enabled and it is pretty much accurate to Eastern timezone day/night change. Meaning when it gets dark outside where I live in Michigan, it's getting dark outside in the server I play. That being said there's a lot of friendly players and new people joining daily who are in side chat looking for others to group with. Our population is growing very quickly, we are picking up regulars daily and it's a really cool bunch of people. If you join up look for F8L3RR0R or F8LB3OTCH, they are the admins. Just say hi in side chat and when they see a new person they usually come to you and welcome you to server and answer any questions. Yeah Pew ur taking it a bit far here. I'm neither an admin nor a member of SWAC but none of this sounds like either of them. SWAC is a very skilled group of players but what you seem to be forgetting is they are almost all hero skins. They help people on the server and share the abundance of loot they find. I can almost guarantee you an admin did not remove a gun you earned but I know for a fact just two nights ago you were on mumble telling us that you were duping DMRs as we speak. More people were in mumble and can verify you said that you often duplicate weapons and offered to give some of them away. So if you were using an AS50 that you duped, I hope they did take it b/c that's lame. As far as what happened last night only the person who fired the shot knows what happened. To come on here and claim you know exactly what happened and your conclusion is admin took your weapon. It's ridiculous to throw out those accusations with 0 proof. There easily could have been a 4th shooter. I ran around with you for like 3 hours the other day and you seemed cool but then you are talking about abusing a glitch and then all this. Seems lame man.
