yeah, but i was thinking that it would stop people from doing it because they would loose their stuff that they got, but i guess people would risk it. still, the alt-f4ers aside, i think it is a much more legit and realistic saving system. -

what? no, eating lots of food doesn't instantly heal a GUNSHOT wound. a gunshot wound usually causes a fracture, and in some cases, a broken bone. morphine or bust, that is how it is. food doesn't, and shouldn't help, it would only slowly bring up your blood (like it already does) -

i bet the answer to the question would be find a tall building and kill yourself, but i don't do that. head directly north towards (follow the road heading north) Zelenogorsk and on the way there there are some deer stands for you to check out, but once you are there, there is a super market and a couple of barns nearby. but be careful.... and no, i do not need help, i'm just giving the answers XD -

check if arma 2 OA AND dayz are fully updated. go to dayz commander, go to the top right where it says install/update, and see if there are any update for either of them. update both of them, and then see if you can get into a server, it should work. -

what? the jumping is apart of the game, who cares if it was ridiculous because EVERYONE had it. how did that make the game bad? that is the only thing people say is "bad" about the halo franchise: something that wasn't even bad and/or "retarded". the game wasn't "slow" for "the kids" (why do you think so many kiddies play CoD and not DayZ? (BECAUSE COD IS FAST AND DAYZ ISN'T), and never was "slow"; it was more of a "medium" speed, and with the vehicles it is much more fast-paced, but that is Halo's playstyle. oh, and remember in Halo 3 where you could change the speed, gravity and EVERYTHING with your own custom gametypes? Halo brought the standard console controls to the modern day console, even though FPS's don't play well on consoles, Halo is the best of the bunch when it comes to controls. that is innovation. so was being able to completely customise your game modes, your maps (and your own sculptures, thanks to Forge), and even to be able to customise the damn campaign and firefight modes with the skulls. Halo 2 also introduced duel-wielding and hijacking vehicles, and that was damn epic. those are what i can think of from the top of my head, anyway. and Halo 2's campaign bad? seriously? you failed to mention what was "bad" about it. it was BAD ASS, that is what it was. ahhh, the memories of jumping on that scarab, killing everyone inside, or the time where i played on legendary, and how scared i was of the nearly invincible elites that could survive about 2 plasma grenades stuck on them, and even a fully charged plasma shot form a plasma pistol. the story had it's twist's and turns, it's epic and wtf moments, it's EPIC music and, just like all of the Halo campaigns, it's HUGE amount of re-playability. it was awesome. ahhh, my childhood memories.... i love Halo. the only "reasons" for saying it "sucks" is "oh, he jumps so high." problem? aaaaaaanyway, back on topic (kinda): this video mentions (i think) some of the things i stated: Day Z Developer Session (w. Rocket) (Eurogamer Expo 2012) but i got some of the ideas from FrankieOnPC, and he said they were happening in standalone, so i said what he said, video i think is here: SILENCED AK HAVOC! - Battlefield 3 (w/ Heli Tips) he starts talking about DayZ and some of the stuff i mentioned at around 9:07 EDIT: i forgot where i got the zombie spawn things from, and other things i might have gotten it from a suggestion in the DayZ forums, but i bet it is very likely to happen anyway. a speculation, yes, but a very good one ;D -

no, i mean those fags who camp with a sniper and just kill NOT for loot, but for fun. they don't have anything but the sniper, and they server-hop and alt-F4 if they get spotted to save their asses.it has happened multiple times with me. once i, as with many other people, were sniped all on the roof of the office building in electro. first there was one dead guy on the roof, and when i respawned (after getting shot on the roof) HOURS later, there were about 15 dead bodies IN THE SAME AREA. people see the dead bodies on the roof, go to loot it, get killed. people see the bodies on the roof, go to loot it... it is a long repeditive cycle that can only be stopped by A) killing the sniper B)wait until the sniper gets bored and leaves C) don't go near the dead bodies because obviously a bunch of dead bodies on the roof at the same spot is very obvious that there is something happening up there, and eventually the events of B will happen D) ban the offender. i feel for those people who had died on that roof that day... the countless innocent survivors, Heros, and even bandits.... imo they are the only people who somewhat ruin the dayz experience. that and hackers. but alpha. -
great idea! but I think tying up players would be hard to implement, however, but it could be useful for live bait.... OR, if they ever make it so you could get the trains working, tie them on the train tracks, Red Dead style, that would be fucking AWESOME.

good ideas, but using some of these methods defy the challenge. I like a challenge, although that blurring effect is bloody annoying, thanks for telling me how to remove it.

Halo isn't bad at all :(, if you have looked, Halo has innovated many-a-time, even with it's newer instalments. I can't see much wrong from Halo apart for it being an exclusive. but CoD is complete and utter bullshit, and everyone has to agree here. Ruining the bloody gaming industry.... -

if the same thing happens to you on the same server, it means that the server is not currently active. if it just happens to your friend, its bad connection. -

ALPHA. nuff' said. once standalone comes out, hell, when the full game comes out these problems will be fixed. 1. hackers will be fixed, so will spawn killers and campers. they will likely get banned from doing repeditive actions. look at PlanetSide 2 for example, they have a system where if someone is doing the same unfair thing over and over and over again they will be kicked off the server or something, and PS2 also has 24/7 protection with this. 2. zombies will be overhauled at standalone, they will be less predictable will travel in herds EVERYWHERE randomly, can throw up on you to give you infections, and there will be a randomised system, for example there will not be "hot spots" for zombies for spawning, it will be random. also, the ability to tell if someone is in an area (for example, if you are a huge distance away from a town and there are zs at that town, it shows that there are people there, but if there are no zs there, there are no people there) will be removed, meaning that no matter how far away you are from a town, there will ALWAYS be z's there (it could also vary with randomised spawning). z's will not spawn in sight of people. basically, zombie encounters will be as random and nearly as dangerous as encountering other players. 3. for loot, i think in standalone that on low populated servers there will be siginificantly less loot than populated servers, meaning that you would have to stick to the danger of populated servers, thus keeping the intensity of dayz without cheating and going on low populated servers. basically all of your gripes on Dayz will be fixed in the near future. and ALPHA IS GOD DAMN ALPHA. oh and BLOPSII? bitch please, don't get me started on that piece of shit series. -

a ghillie suit is: anyway, back on topic. i obviously know that these bugs have been stated for aaages, but these are bugs i experience: z's go through and hit through walls once i was walking in the wilderness, i log out, and go back in, and now i am on the coast. proning on catwalks can result in breaking or fracturing limbs, and at one stage i proned in a catwalk in a tovarna factory to see through a window and not be seen at the same time, and i ended up going THROUGH the wall and on to the roof outside of the window... obviously when you put stuff in a backpack that is already full and it destroys it... this could easily be fixed by saying "there is not enough room in your backpack" and puts the object back where it came from/tried to move it from dead players and zs sometimes have brief cameos of them standing up over their bodies, but only for the briefest of moments once i swaped a makarov with lots of ammo for a 1911 pistol by pressing enter (when it says swap makarov for 1911) and i recieved the 1911 and it's clips but the makarov and ammo completely disappeared. once i got teleported by hackers and fell from ages up into the water, and as soon as i hit the water i broke my legs, and as soon as i hit the water and broke my legs i exited it. a while later i logged back in, and i was in the place known as the debug wilderness. i lost all of my stuff. i log out and log in, and i spawn on the coast, but with absolutely nothing and of course, even though this isn't a bug, the HAX. sadly, apparently 60% of the community use hacks, so security should also be a top priority. maybe a script detector? idk i, and all of the community know that you are working hard on the bugs, and i know many of them are obvious ones that have been stated countless of times,but these are bugs i have experienced anyway. and of course this is in alpha, so good luck on fixing the bugs :D

lol, i was told they stopped z's, but they don't, they only annoy players. once i found a building that i could not enter whatsoever so no loot for me. however, removing it would make the toolbox useless, however, so remove it, fix it (make it stop z's, make players able to get over it with a slower rate than getting over fences, stop the graphical glitches, and make it so it isn't bloody hard to remove them with the toolbox), and then put it back in again, but for now remove it. -
I did post this on the Dayz commander forums, but they haven't replied back yet, so I thought I would post it here too. Yes, I do have steam with the legit copy ARMA2:OA. When I tick the boxes for "launch with steam" (and the replace original ARMA2 files), and then when I try to launch dayz via commander, I receive the following message: "Could not find steam, please adjust your options or check your steam installation" Now, it knows where ARMA 2, ARMA 2:OA and Dayz are (under game directories in the properties menu), but I suspect this is because steam is not installed on my C drive, but rather a portable hardrive, J drive. All of my steam games including ARMA and Dayz are on my j drive, and it shows the location under game directories, but it wont launch. I can still play Dayz perfectly fine (with launching with out steam), but with the cost of not having the steam overlay (I want to be able to talk to my friends without having to minimise and maximise every few seconds). Do I have to have steam in my C drive? My steam is installed in my J drive (no, not in a folder, on my J drive). Is this the problem? That my steam doesn't have a folder and it wont launch? or is it something else? And yes, steam works suburb with all my other games.
