Tell you what a fun bunch of guys on Zeds Dead server. Epoch is shaping up to be a damn good mod. Lots for the standalone to consider in here I think. Enforced trading posts and construction systems. Even currency. DayZ is really evolving beyond its original intention. Loving it!

I think that the SA is going to produce a whole bunch of naturist clans sitting around the camp fire nude. But seriously I don't think the damage modelling is going to be that good straight off the bat. I think what has just been shown is a vast improvement over what we have seen before. Times have changed there though clans like The Colorado boys who were very cool left and clans like SDS are really weak now as I tailed them for a while doing recon. I think RP has gone through a change of guard and it almost seems as if the chance of combat has all but gone away for fear of KOS reports. The thing I used to like about it was you have rules of engagement but there was the chance of a bandit battle, like something random to happen when 2 groups fight for stuff. Not pre planned set pieces. I got into a standoff with CLF 3 weeks ago and 2 of my men including myself started raising and lowering our weapons for 5 seconds all at the same time. We were then shot during this. Something underhand was done to prevent things going naturally maybe? The recording I got seems to suggest it so we all left. But shout out to the freedom bus company! That was such a laugh.
