So again my mind starts to wander as I play more DayZ and realise that I would like those solid trains to move. Obviously the electric ones are going to be a problem. But steam is a possibility with enough wood/water in the back to feed it with fuel. Plenty of carriages for all sorts of types and travel beans and coke brought along shortly. But then the mean streak in me sees awesome train robberies/gunfights with the odd train driving experience. Because the track does go a fair way. At lease add one of these: You can pull supplies of beans all the way up the coast...

I run a Gigabyte windforce 2 nvidia GTX 670 and I lock my frames at 60 with everything up to max apart from HDR at Normal and I never see drops below 50 in busy parts. Changing this setting did not really have an impact on my performance as Arma2/DayZ requires more CPU. When I overclocked my i5 3.1ghz ivy bridge to 3.8ghz (easy overclock) per core DayZ frames shot up and maxed. Recording your video really eats up CPU and I have tried a few methods but nothing was as good as using a hardware encoder like Avermedia's HD Gamer, this jumped up the quality of my YouTube videos. This is my experience.

I think the mechanics would be in the engine and I could see some insane action going on there if the track could be extended into other areas.

Nice videos, I watched your how to guide really good. I was mucking about in the engine myself and it started to click on how you do things and set-up the situations for camera angles. Its amazing how good this engine can look. Do you have any Taviana intros around?

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you to the DayZ community peeps for watching my videos. I started to blog my adventures with friends and random's only 4 months ago and after taking it seriously for a couple of months with some hardware upgrades on Sunday I reached over 75,000 views. To me that's just like I played a concert to everyone in Wembley stadium with my now redundant guitar hero controller. With the technology we have its possible to create a recorded gaming diary like no other. I got drunk with whiskey and friends in celebration! Also another thanks to the mods for putting up with my posts as its free advertisement and right now all I have is beans :D to give but if you at the local pub pints in order. Its all such good reading all the posts. Again to the creators of this fine mod and to be standalone where it brings out the best and worst in people which seems to make really good viewing :). I think Namalsk is harder to survive than the other maps but it has you would say some unnatural add ons like the blast and bloodsucker zombies, the natural enemy is the cold as keeping warm is reliant on heat packs or a rare warm clothing find. Taviana is huge but weapons are a plenty if you know where to look. Some of the towns are RDM but I would say out of all the maps Taviana is what I consider the most fun to play. I only really say that because even though Chernarus is still my home for DayZ I want it to be more of a suprise when I play the standalone.
