When moving around and looking for some fresh meat, they're hungry and dull and their systems are running 'low'. But as soon as they sense prey they mobilize their very last energy and hunt you down like vermin. They follow the trail of your smell when you run away, they ignore their pain because of that fresh meat is kicking their adrenaline into areas you can only dream of, they hear your heavy breath when you're hiding in a house, their eyesight get's brighter, focused on their prey and nothing else, though sometimes disturbed by other prey which happens to be aroundm, they won't let loose the trail until they can feast on their prey. FRESH HUMAN MEAT! Get used to, Zombies rediscovered senses the 'standard' mankind has lost over the yearthousands, they were no longer required as more and more civilized life got. That's called evolution. (Btw., all those Creationists and others out there not being fond of evolution: shut up and make a thread about in Off Topic!) Respawnrate of course is a totally different matter. :)

Try to find a server that reboots regularily. I found one so far that reboots every 6 hours. But don't ask which ones these are, didn't note it down but had a stable 60fps on it. Still trying to find it again. -
It's an ALPHA, why do some even complain about such a nuisance? Sure, sometimes it sucks, get used to. Sometimes you lose, sometimes the others win.

I don't want to miss my TrackIR anymore, got it since almost forever and bought it for Rise of Flight back in the days. Makes it much easier from time to time, though temporarily disabling it via one of the additional mousebuttons is kinda mandatory. Those who use it get used to it and it will fit in each ones style of gameplay. -

Night time is so much fun. I shot in the direction of some guy running around the open with a flashlight active, seems like he fell in panic and Aalt-F4'd. Sometimes, fun is what you make out of it. And, regarding 'HUD', is there a way to switch off the general server messages locally? That spam becomes immersion destructing. -
On some servers I get stable 60 FPS, on others it's in the range of 5 - 20 FPS. So it cannot be my rig, must be a serverside issue.

Same issue. Despawned in Berezino north-east of the northern super market and now I wanted to continue my journey and ... well. Spawned in some 'factory' and died, and respawn there every time. Item loss is not that bad, since I lost my full equip yesterday (incl. a nice PDW + a lot of Ammo, everything else except GPS was in my possession too, but I wanted MORE and died because of my greedyness.) Anyways, no matter which server I select: I spawn in the same position every time and die instantly.

It's an ALPHA, not even close to a BETA, and you ask for implementations you can think about AFTER the beta is somewhat stable and working, and this is still a long way to go. (And don't get confused about what some companies dish out as so called 'BETA weekends', these are almost GOLD versions of the final product which need just a bit more polish and fine tuning.) -

There are a few possibilities. Get shot or don't get shot. If you get shot you may have died anyways, if you don't get shot you may be lucky and shoot the other OR do not do it. In the end it's all situational and WHAT kind of player you got on the opposite. From my point of view: I shoot anyone I see, epecially since I'm not in the southern part of the map. So no 'newly introduced' players may be hit, those in the north know where they are. It's all about: kill or get killed, your primary aim is: survive! And it's easier to survive without someone else in your back. And don't forget: GEAR is mostly worthless, nice to have in certain situations, but even since even 'fully' geared a single bullet from a starting player with nothing else than his Makarov flying directly into your head means: good night, respawn time! -
I love players running around with flares in their hands, I always shoot them. Hoping that it was the last time for them doing that. But maybe they stop doing that now anyways, so no more killing due to that reason.

What's Funniest thing you did in DayZ

Not really fun, but amazing in it's own way. Was low on blood, falling down to 2500, falling down to 2200, lowest point was 1800. So I ventured from town to town, in the middle of the night (pre-temperature involvement), blurry sight, nothing to eat, nothing to drink, only my Makarov, 3 Magazines, no map, a few flares and a few chemlights. My only orientation: that paved road and the power grid running along on the right side. Didn't have a clue WHERE I am, just knew that I ran into a bunch of Zeds since I'm always leaving the coast ASAP. After a while and several temporal fallovers due to low blood I stumbled into a road sign, it read: Козловка. Fine, I'm in Kozlovka, carefully sneaking around I gather as much food as possible, eating it instantly to get back some blood. Moving towards the exit, a sign tells me: this way to Дрoжино. Good, let's move along, or, stumble along, seeing almost nothing and falling down every now and then. Reaching Дрoжино I continue getting as much food as possible and avoiding Zeds as good as possible. Crawling prone has a positive side effect: you don't fall down due to low blood. Next road sign tells me: Зеленогорск this way! Ok, let's move along. Sneaking and getting already mad in the head due to the blurred sight all the time, only recognizing schemes and relying more on my ears than anything else I get my blood pressure back up to around 3200, still everything blurred, even found some CZ magazines and more Makarov magazines. But then it happend ... seems like all the beans I ate asked for their tribute. A Zed gets me from behind and pummels me to death. Trying to be as silent as possible it seems like my digesting system made a few loud noises, compromising my position and finally presenting me to the next world. But I have to say: walking around in THAT state is like a good trip, everyone should do something like that at least once. It's a good experience. -

After a short trip into the new release this morning I stumbled upon matches and firewood like nothing else, firewood especially in the barns. But, still no Alice Backpack for me. Sadly. -

That feeling of coming past a crapload of ammo, gear and other stuff, just to realize: I'm out of luck as usual, still did not find an Alice or CZ backpack, still having my Coyote standard one. Seems like I have to get my 'new' Alice backpack the same way as usual: murder someone. That feeling of total bad luck regarding a backpack everyone seems to have right after spawn, it's disappointing.
