I get the same issue, though its a bit more severe. I have reason to believe DayZ Commander is behind this. Try connecting to a server without it and report back on your findings if possible. Edit: I tried this with Six Launcher, same result. I would try installing it manually.

No other games are affected. Just DayZ. In fact, I usually get pings of 20 or lower in Zandronum. (Doom Port)

does your desktop use wireless?

I keep getting ping levels in the thousands or even ten thousands. It is extremely frustrating and makes this unplayable. Specs: Phenom II X4 3.2 ghz 4 Gigs of DDR2 RAM Nvidia GeForce 450 Windows 7 Home Premium Western Digital Green 500 Gig HDD Wireless Adapter: WNA1100

Get rid of them. I find them annoying. Especially when people just randomly place them everywhere, hoping for some sap to fall for it.

I also found that putting d3d9.dll in your Arma II folder increases your frame rate. So if you have Steam and assuming you use the Six Launcher the path would be: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\" OR "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\" Depends on your OS and weather you use 32-bit or 64-bit.
