The Bandit Headscarf is too much for me

My bad man, just went off on a tangent. I guess just read the middle part of what I said to get a feel of my opinion on that.

The Bandit Headscarf is too much for me

Well one thing I think your forgetting here is that we can get the "hero" skin. I managed to stay alive for a long time refusing to kill anyone, mostly just observing from the woods. I basically isolated myself from the world and helped my friends when they were on. I sniped a bandit or two, always becuase they had shot a friend of mine. My humanity has made it above 11000 now, I can kill someone if I have to and still be in my true colors. As a survivor I've started to take a policy of no assualt weapons, becuase they just make me a more desirable target and I never really get to fire them anyhow. I stick with my crossbow(which I've gotten very accurate with) and got hunting in the woods. I have my 1911 Colt in case I come into a firefight but I'm sure that it wouldn't make too big a difference if it came to that. We made the choice to live this way though. I see the Bandit skin as sort of a penance, and something that can be redeemed or embraced. Its kind of cool if you think about it that way. Its almost like you need to imagine yourself as a paladin or something. If I killed someone out of neccessity I would be very careful to avoid confrontation for a while until I was back to my old self. Its a big map, its not hard to lose yourself out there. If you get killed while doing it, then maybe thats karma? In the end death is inevitable, I was alive for 87 days before I decided to rush the NW airfield after a server restart... I make mistakes sometimes. The point is why worry about when or why someone killed you when it was going to happen eventually anyway? Starting out fresh can be fun too.

    What bandit are you?

Yeah I remember the times when I wanted to leave people alone only to get a makarov shoved up my ass just minutes later. 2 days into playing all I wanted was to tear peoples eyes out with my hunting knife. I think eventually we all turn bandit, its just a matter of how much backstabbing you can take before you fight back. If your not one of my friends your a threat.

First loot I found in 1.5.8..

No backpacks for me, I'm just going to keep being a gaurdian angel for my friends standing 800 to 1000 meters off with my M107 and 40 rounds.

Tragical and true Stories. Tell yours.

Tragical sounds like the name of a suicidal magician... Not that it isn't a real word, but I think you could just use the word "Tragic" instead of its funny sounding adjective. Grammar aside, I liked your story. A bit drawn out but I read the whole thing. I've been stabbed in the back so much now that i've learned several valuable lessons. Such as don't trust anyone you don't really know. I'll shot anyone that even looks at me or my friends without telling thier intentions first, and even if they do thier intensions better be turning around and leaving me and my friends alone. If my friends aren't around I go completely solo. Most recently I've been 1000 meters outside of Chernogorsk watching silently over the city with my M107 for bandits, but I don't plan on staying there long. Its funny to see how I've gone from a naive gatherer, to a harden hunter playing this game. One day everybody will figure out the flow of the game and it will be even harder to survive. Maybe then we'll get a new map... until then, happy hunting.
