Inception's Gunshop. [Permanently closed until further notice.]

Just edited my post with what I'm carrying but you beat me to it, haha. Would you do the DMR for the FAL & ammo, smoke grenades, M249 belt and M9 SD mag, then do a 1-for-1 for the L85 if I find an M4A1 CCO SD later on? -

Got 4 smoke grenades in my tent of various colours, think I have an M9 SD mag and possibly some STANAG/M249 ammo too. Got a regular M4 and some other rifles in there, will let you know if I come across an M4A1 CCO SD. EDIT: am currently carrying 5x smoke grenades (2x red, 2x white, 1x green), 2x M203 smoke grenades (white), 1x 200Rnd. M249 belt, 1x M9 SD mag, 1x M9 and 3x M9 mags if you're interested in those. The magazines are all full, I have a bike on a server I frequent so can get to any location you want hassle-free. Also have my FN FAL and three mags if you want to trade those for the DMR, although I am aware of your policy of one gun per trade. -

Hey mate, I realise you've got a bit of an excess of them, but would you accept an FN FAL and three mags for a DMR? (no ammo required) I've also got a tent that I'm willing to give to you for free. Just as a side note, what kind of gear would you consider equal value to an L85? Cheers :-) -
The NVGs a very unique item in the way that they open enormous opportunities for new game play styles and tactics for players - I think it'd be a shame to see them go. While flares, chemlights and flashlights are a fun, unique and eerie way to play the game at night, I think players lucky enough to find such a (what should be, and what was intentionally) rare item should be rewarded accordingly. Once the standalone arrives and hacking/duping/scripting becomes a thing of the past (or so we hope!) then they will, once again, be a very rare and coveted "end-game" item as opposed to something you're more likely to find in a tent or player's tool belt than a toolbox these days. I found my first "legit" pair of NVGs from a crashed helicopter yesterday - before then, I'd gone through many many pairs from tents and dead players. Picking them up off the ground for the first time was a really cool feeling, knowing I was truly deserving of them as opposed to feeling like they were probably scripted or duped in. If they were removed, I'd miss them for all the gameplay opportunities they unlock - am looking forward to riding my bike around Chernarus under the cover of darkness tonight. Besides, what kind of game would it be if you could feel perfectly safe at night, knowing the only player threat to you was someone else wandering around town with a flashlight for you to spot? That feeling of paranoia, knowing there could be someone watching you from the top of a hill through a DMR scope in total darkness is a terrifying concept, and without it there'd be almost no incentive to loot high value areas like the barracks or airfields during the day.

The two or three times I've logged in to high population servers to do some counter sniping against the infamous Cherno/Elektro spawn-snipers have all ended with me dying to hackers. I've given up caring now, I stick to private hives where I play as a hero, or low population servers where just mind my own business up north.

Lucky fellas. I've found 3 crash sites on the main hive in my months of DayZ, two of which had no gear and the 3rd with an M1014 and tin cans. One day...

Giant hacker camp on US 2978 (Server's up again)
Physsion replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Checked this out today - bridge was flattened when I arrived. Every tent crushed, no loot around. Several dead freshspawn bodies around - jumped off of the other bridge and added my own to the pile. Nice find, nonetheless! -
Quick video of my squad and I being totally sensible, ammo conservative and fully aware of our surroundings. We play as a guardian angel squad, shooting bandits and helping out new players, but after spotting a cow from the top of Zub with no players around we decided to mess around a little. Going to be recording and uploading clips of proper guardian angel squad play some time in the near future, hope you guys enjoy this little clip in the mean time though!

Hi admin team, I don't have any screenshot or video evidence of what happened tonight, but I figured I'd post a report against two hackers my squad ran into on US 1981. Server this happened on: US 1981 Time that it happened including your timezone: Just after 11pm, GMT+12 (New Zealand) What happened during the incident: My squad consisting of myself and three mates were getting tired of moving around through the wilderness, and we decided to head in to the woods north of Cherno with the intention of playing as guardian angels and taking out some bandits. After spotting two ghillied snipers on the roof of the north western hospital through my thermal sight, we started moving further north to get in a better sniping position to take them out, when one of our guys spotted a bus driving along the northern road. We co-ordinated our attack, had thermal and rangefinders up while Itosis, our best marksman, shot out the wheels of the bus and killed the two guys inside it as they tried to get away. Their names were Destroyer (definitely) and Overwatch Patrol (or similar name to this effect.) Five minutes after Itosis got his kills, a player was kicked by Battleye for script violation - the name was blank. Warning bells should have gone off in our heads, but we were too caught up in the thrill of combat to take any action on it. Another minute after that, all four of us dropped dead with no warning whatsoever. Our names are Fission, Itosis, InvaderTim and Nick. There were several other players on the server at the time, but the four of us were the only ones that were killed. While our squad was able to make it back to our bodies after respawning and get the majority of our loot back, we lost three ghillie suits and one camo clothing. Soon after getting our own stuff back, we moved down to the bodies and found they had identical gear. Identical, down to the number of magazines they had in their inventories. Both had DMRs, M9 SDs and full toolbelts. I've provided a screenshot from Itosis below - while it doesn't provide evidence of names, it shows his two murders from our sniping location. Hopefully it gives you a little indication of where we were if that helps at all. http://steamcommunit...&showComments=0 I understand that without proper screenshots or video evidence of the events that occurred tonight there may not be any action that can be taken against these two - however, on behalf of the entire DayZ community I would greatly appreciate it if you could have a chat with the owner of US 1981, check the server logs for any evidence of these cheaters and punish them for their actions in-game. We'd all be very grateful for any action taken. Thanks team, Fission EDIT 1&2: thought Nick's name was Nallen so changed it, later found out that it was Nick so changed it back.
