Game was running fine till mid-day my WASD and ZXC stopped working..... Can still type with them and everything, but they're no longer working ingame. Checked the keybinds and found I still had them marked down for player movement. Since this, certain keys don't work in other steam games as well.... I have a wireless Logitech keyboard.

Alright, I'll try a restart. What do you mean drivers included? EDIT: Restart did it, thank you very much. Out of the 3 help sites I tried, this was the first to respond.

I usually shoot on sight only if they have a better wepon than I am carrying. Also, if they yell friendly before I get them I usually let them live

People say Mountain Dew is cursed, and I kinda believe them. Yesterday I was looting the deerstands in Balota at night. Since it was dark out, I figured I wouldn't have to worry about players or zombies too much. I was just about done there, when someone threw a flare into the middle of the military camp. I went prone, crawled to a tent, and used direct chat to warn the guy that he shouldn't show himself or I'll shoot him. (Had a AK-74 with decent ammo). I wait it out for about 5 minutes, crawl out of there, and loop around to check the hill leading to the hangers. Sure enough, the idiot throws another flare when he's right next to me, and I fill him full of bullets. He had a Enfield, flares, food, and...... an un-opened Mountain Dew. No wonder he died, he was cursed.

I usually hit up Elektro, Cherno, or both. After getting good gear, I might scan over all the hills outside of the towns to pick of douchebag noobkillers. After that, I head up North, and live happily ever after.

Meh, whenever live rounds get fired off close to me in this game, I get sweaty palms and stomach pain. Pretty sure it's just nervousness though.

I was hiding in the Elektro church with a double barrel shotty, when some guy in a ghille suit ran past the entrance firing a 1911 inside. After waiting for him to come back, he tossed in a smoke grenade and charged in. I promptly pumped him full of 2 rounds of lead pellets.... Some people are just stupid....

Eh, killing a guy afte 3 days of teamwork is a bit harsh, but from a bandit standpoint he's smart. Make him think you're on his side... and then BAM.... it's all yours. I personally trust no one on this game. I usually kill on sight unless they're fresh from the coast.

And that my friends, is DayZ.

Yeah, I've tried playing the hero aspect of the game, but it's just too much work. If they have the potential to hurt me, it's shoot first, questions later.

Every time I near a military base, hanger, or some parts of large cities, I get horrible Graphic tearing on my screen. Anyone know how to fix this?

I just bandaged a fresh newbie in the Elekra firestation yesterday. He ran up on me and scared me witless. Said he needed food,water, and a bandage and quickly helped him and mowed down the zombies chasing him. It's the little things that make this game worth it.

I had just respawned after having a rather crappy 3 day run with my last character, which ended in a desperate shoot-out in a grocery store (I lost by the way). I spawned near Elektra, so I decided to give it a run through and hit up the main buildings. First the industrial complex, then the firestation, and I eventually ended up in the school. I ran into a guy with an Enfield, and after proclaiming "Friendly!", he took his time to take shots at me. I just bolted out, and to my surprise heard some high caliber gunshots from the school. Upon entering later, the Enfield man was dead... Already jumpy from the murder, and ran to the church and got cornered by zombies. I used a Makorov and had found to headshot them all. After cleaning that up, I looted what little was left over. I had managed to pick up a double-barrel shotgun in one of the industrial buildings before, so I felt decently safe. Lo and behold, the murderer showed up, scaring the crap out of me, and taking pot shots into the church with a M1911. He was wearing a guille suit, so I imeddiatly figured I was a goner. I holed up in a corner behind a stone box, and waited. After he throws a smoke grenade in, and I loose all visablility, I hear more of his gunshots and start running out. One hits me, and drops me to prone. I barely get a look at him through the fog before I pump him with some pellets. He drops too, and I promptly put one more round of pellets right into his face. I manage to bandage myself, and make up for the blood loss with canned good from a grocery store. That is possibly one of the most intense moments I've had on DayZ....

Well, I'm game for this. I'll be on the lookout for fencing and tank traps.
