UPDATE: I loaded up Arma2 OA and have been able to play through the Armory with no issues at all. Rainfall, looking through binoculars, and even piloting aircraft over large areas of the map have not been able to reproduce the same crashing issue I have when playing DayZ. This reinforces, in my mind, that the issue I'm having comes from the 1.7.2.6 hotfix and not my GPU, GPU drivers, or my Arma2 config settings.

Since updating my DayZ client to 1.7.2.6, I've been experiencing crashes every time I've tried to play the game. I recently updated my Nvidia drivers to the newest beta version and made some performance tweaks to the Arma2OA.cfg file (setting "GPU_MaxFramesAhead" and "GPU_DetectedFramesAhead" both to 1); however, since the game has started crashing on me, I've rolled back the drivers and restored the .cfg file to the default values. Aside from the crashes, there don't appear to be any indicators of poor graphical performance - my framerate is typically somewhere in the 35-50 FPS range, but doing things like looking at a town with binoculars or looking up at the sky while it's raining will cause an abrupt lock up. About half the time I'm able to Alt-Tab out and close ArmA2OA through the Task Manager, but the rest of the time my system entirely locks up and I have to restart it. I was just on US 10 and had a dude combat log on me after he pulled all the zombies in the Stary Sobor military camp into my tent. I was looting the furthest south tent when I heard gunfire nearby, so I went prone and waited. He kept firing nearby and most of the zombies in the area were aggroing. I see a guy run past the door of the tent in a ghillie suit, then he comes back a second later so I open up on him. He got me with his AKM and, while I'm unconscious, he goes prone right in front of my face - bleeding out - and disappears. All the zombies he aggro'd come into the tent and proceed to go Country Buffet style on my unconscious ass. This happened at approximately 5:00 PM Mountain - ten or so minutes ago.
