You walk into a room and you see a man with a leather face ripping at the rotten flesh on a carcass. ?

Well, there's nothing too wrong with running everything at all low settings, and window(izing?) your game. What do you currently run at/want to run at?

I want a Survivor Games with all the Forum Team in it and make it a tradition. The winner of that year will receive Bean Hog of the Zed Invasion. -
New Dev Blog Report: November 2012

All of this information is sounding superb. When can we expect the announcement of the announcement of the announcement of the release date? -
The 192-bit memory bus on that card is going to bottleneck it when hes going through graphically-intense areas, which would render around 1GB of that RAM very slow. If you're looking for a well video card that can handle the card for under 200 dollars, go for a GTX 660 or a Radeon HD 7870. Any higher, I think you're better off springing for a Radeon 7950-70, or a GTX 670-80.

You don't need 16GB of RAM for Arma II. I think you're better off investing that money from that extra 8GB of RAM for a water-cooling CPU cooler. It allows you to reach higher overclocks for that i5, which will perform much better than clock speeds. My personal recommendation is an H60, or the new H60i if you can reach out for it.

Admin perks? Rhino Crunch video.
gesundheitk replied to mjp808's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Since it is a Private Hive, he's allowed to do this. Well, he's not hacking, but most likely using a hive partner (like ersan191)'s GUI to enhance things like giving the player weapons when they spawn, whether it's night or day, how many vehicles etc. -
OK, I'm not going to troll you and be immature like some people are here, but unfortunately, the console's hardware is very limited and is not made to run ArmA's advanced engine even with optimization. It's a possibility for next-gen hardware, but as of now, it is not possible without sacrificing much of the game's mechanics that make this a zombie survival game. I feel for you, some people cannot afford a machine to play this game at the moment, but that is sadly the way the cookie will crumble.

He was trying to entertain you by saying he was 'flying' to Namalsk, but in reality he is joining a sever and made Karwin Leutscher make a cinematic for him. There are planes in the Editor of ArmA 2. You would know this if you actually play ArmA...

Don't you just love it when people leave bear traps in tents/vehicles?
gesundheitk replied to Parasprite's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I can imagine the horror of being surrounded by 20 bear traps. -

Did you just place them, or did you set them and place them? -
If you really want to see improvement, clock up your RAM a bit to something like in the 1800s or the 2100s. Just make sure you don't overvolt.

We need more information than that. Those random numbers is the code used for whatever the problem is. Tell it to us so we can actually translate it.
-
As I said, it should be clocked higher to gain better performance. You can have it running with 10% CPU Usage and still get around 5 FPS.
-
It's your entire system, basically. Your processor is clocked pretty low, 2.33 GHz, especially since ArmA is pretty CPU intensive. My 9500GT barely kicks dust, and I'm looking to upgrade from that as well. You may be better off just purchasing new parts, or a new build if taking parts out of your PC isn't granted.

Helicopter Crash Site Implementation Change - More immersion, realism, fun.
gesundheitk replied to 7-75 callaghan's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It's a well thought out idea, very. Only problem I have with it is the glitches that will occur, and trust me, when it comes to AI, glitches will occur. Though it'd be pretty funny to see someone panic in fear because a chopper is about to crash into them! -
You want some more progress screenshots of DayZ Standalone?
gesundheitk replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I seem to notice that the first screenshot looks like a town that was under Soviet protection, probably used as an area for soldiers and whatnot. I seem to be concluding that because of how in the left area, you see a gate. I do hope, however, that there are some new model houses and furniture. It gets kind of old just seeing it moved around. Also, they can't use the landtex mod because of how the landscape is going to be different, that is unless he creates some sort of modding tools. -
GB size of DZ Standalone ? Best guess anyone ?

I forget, but does downloading it on an SSD speed it up? Just curious. -

Must of felt good to screw up some guy's Ural and take his weapons for being a dick to you. Would have done the same if the opportunity arisen. -

gesundheitk replied to malau (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
At the most, maybe 10GBs. I'd say around 4-6 if you want to be realistic. It's definitely going to be less than Arma 2's download space, considering the fact that they're cutting off one map, removing a lot of helicopters and vehicles, along with useless models, and maybe adding a few things here and there. -
suggestions.(read at your own peril)
gesundheitk replied to apache25's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Those seem like interesting ideas. Although, I have a few gripes: - Adding the mandatory need to sleep kind of ruins the game, since this game is about all the kind of freedoms you can imagine. Sleeping will hold you back on that. - While the idea of an oil rig out at sea is kind of cool, I don't think people would want to swim pretty far out to pick up some supplies and go back to this base unless it has some kind of a meaning. Other than that, those other ideas seem alright.
