Sorry for being a dick. Pretty tired here, lol. Anyways, have you tried contacting BattlEye support, like everyone else is saying? Also, be sure to run an anti-virus, such as AVG, if you need to get rid of it.
-
If it was, he would of followed it.

Rule 1 of the interwebs 1. Don't download stuff you don't know about.

I like it better when there is no news. That way we aren't spoonfed empty promises. Take Grand Theft Auto V for example.

Do many people still play this?
gesundheitk replied to Mays (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Many people do play this, though if they actually want to avoid skiddies, they go onto Private Hives. Try to search around in the private hive section and you'll see it's definitely BUZZING (See what I did there?). -
GTX TI isn't descriptive. There is a 550 Ti, a 560 Ti, a 660 Ti, and I believe there is a few more in the TI series. Adding Hawk to it doesn't make it anymore descriptive than that. What is the number on the series?

Be warned, anyone who goes to Green Mountain with a Mountain Dew, their waste turns neon green.

I like the idea, though it's common sense that a 7.62mm round would burn more of a hole in a body ergo more blood is loss so there is more damage, at least compared to an 5.56mm round. I do like the creativity of the attachments though, as I mean you're not going to get any more accurate bullets with a red dot than you are with an iron sight beyond the ability to mark your target a bit easier. I give a thumbs up.

Are you logging into Multiplayer servers?
-
Well that, and if you do have Arma 2: Combined Ops or Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, be sure to load both of them at least once all the way up to the menu. Then, open up Multiplayer, or DayZ Commander, and click on a server to play. I believe that's how you do it.

The thumbnail needs a little work, but I'm not expecting much, since I'm basing it off of some of those Photoshop warriors. Very nice video  :beans: -
Does my FPS seem reasonable? [Specs Included]
gesundheitk replied to Obsolescence's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I would invest in the Cooler Master 212+ if you really need a cheap alternative for an overclocking aftermarket cooler. I've actually seen some people who've gotten up to 4.5GHz on their unlocked chips, with around 42 Idle, 60 on 24/7 stress test. Don't forget to pick up a decent thermal paste though. I found for me that the Arctic Silver 5 worked best for these type of situations. Highest I would recommend going to though is about 4.7, anything more than that only gives you one or two FPS, instead of the 10-15 FPS different you would notice. It's not too hard if you do it right, all you really need is items that allow you to overclock easily (ASUS Mobo and G.Skill Sniper RAM ftw), along with some nice thermal paste and a good cooler. -
Solders to shoot at ?? Active Mill base ?
gesundheitk replied to Taiphoz's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Rocket said himself that he doesn't want to add safe zones unless it was made by the player. It makes sense though, because heading over to the nearest safezone would probably be everyone's objective then, and it would be a bloodfest anyways because of the likely high player population there. Unless you mean just a base you attack? -
Ok i unistalled dayz for a sec now when i go to reinstall it its not there any more
gesundheitk replied to NicolasSaj's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Well... when you uninstall something, it removes everything. Unless you're talking about a digital-download website for the game itself, then it should be pretty normal to not find it on your computer... -

gesundheitk replied to Obsolescence's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I would buy an aftermarket cooler and overclock it higher if you really want a change in FPS. Other than that, you should be just fine. -
It may be just me, but you're not going to get too many people to help as a person who's been around the forums for a while because no one has any history with you. Good luck though.

I didn't read your post all the way through. My bad, anyways, if you're looking for a desktop that you can freely upgrade in the future, but want to play on High Settings with 30+ FPS, then I have a decent desktop for you. Though I need some information on how much you are willing to spend. For now, I'll give you a cheap option, then I'll show you some upgrades you can make if you feel this computer isn't enough. This build should be just fine for gaming, and you shouldn't worry too much about the chip, as it has hyperthreading, which allows the computer to see it as a Quad-Core CPU. Intel Core i3-2120 Dual-Core Processor - $125.00 http://amzn.to/Sx7YtB ASUS P8B75-V Motherboard - $100.00 http://amzn.to/QFwADC Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 - $160.00 http://amzn.to/Pponza Kingston Technology 8GB RAM - $40.00 http://amzn.to/SiFQzX Corsair CX600 600w Power Supply - $75.00 http://amzn.to/P7koNs Western Digital 500GB Caviar Black Hard Drive - $85.00 http://amzn.to/V8SvpH Lite-On 24x DVD Burner - $25.00 http://amzn.to/P7kDYL Cooler Master HAF 912 - $61.00 http://amzn.to/O1qY6p Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - $91.00 http://amzn.to/QTDXVc Total: $662.00* *This is excluding shipping, so if you live pretty far, be sure to calculate it all. That's actually pretty cheap for a computer that can run high settings at about 30 FPS. I do like some of these parts as I've recommended them in the past before. If you want a cheaper system, it's completely possible, but I thought I'd set you up on a good system. Keep in mind, prices are constantly changing, and I had estimated them to the nearest dollar. If you are European, you can estimate them to Euro by looking it up online. To also build it, I highly suggest checking out newegg's 3 part videos on how to build and set up your PC.

I never realized people get motion sickness from this game as much as some people are saying they do. The only game I ever got motion sickness from was Red Dead Redemption, and that was because of how I was staring at the screen. Still think it's a good idea though.
-
Yeah, not a lot of people do get motion sickness. I think it would be pretty interesting though if somewhere in the code, random players would have a motion sickness trait? Ha! Other than that, it's still a trial thought, anyway.

How can I tell if my computer can even run this game?
gesundheitk replied to FrozenSkittless's topic in New Player Discussion
Well, I was trying to give him a cheap option. I could've gone cheaper, but I felt that was good enough. I do believe he should update his power supply if he has the cash for it, though. -

If you feel as if your computer is obsolete and just want a complete new one, here's a PC build. Do realize this isn't as hard as people think, and this will give you some OP settings. This is with the OS, and this is with a new Hard Drive if you feel like you want a new one, but it's pretty easy to take out the one currently in your computer and stick it in the new one. This will allow you to retain your OS and storage*. Here is the entire PC list. If you need help on building the computer, just search up on YouTube how to build a PC. Newegg and duncan33303 have some pretty decent tutorials. Intel Core i3-2120 Processor - $113.00 http://amzn.to/W6f0cM GIGABYTE GA-H61M-DS2 Motherboard - $55.00 http://amzn.to/QE6z7I EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti FPB Graphics Card - $125.00 http://amzn.to/NZLODg CM eXtreme 500w Power Supply - $40.00 http://amzn.to/St7Mvq PNY Optima 4GB RAM - $27.00 http://amzn.to/P5nBgj Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB Hard Drive* - $66.00 http://amzn.to/QEZ80e Sony Internal 24x DVD Burner - $23.00 http://amzn.to/W6fmQs Antec Three Hundred ATX Computer Case - $50.00 http://amzn.to/St7Mvq Windows 7 Home Premium - $91.00* http://amzn.to/PlOR4N3-Pin to 4-Pin ATX Molex Connector - $4.00 http://amzn.to/W6f0cM Total: $594.00, $437.00* All these parts will most definitely give you High settings with maybe 30FPS+. If you already have a Hard Drive, I'd highly recommend taking it out of your system and putting it into the new one. Hope I wasn't too late. Edit: PS, if you do plan on buying a new computer, avoid Alienware. They overcharge for their systems and have horrible customer support. I forgot to add the links! I apologize if some of the links are wrong as it's 2 AM here and I'm extremely tired. -
Why do people hate free rides?
gesundheitk replied to RaysGoodLiquor's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Well, with all the reasons publicized, and the fact that some people have been known to try to pick people up and drop them off on that deserted island quite a while from the map. -
Musket's and Minie' ball ammunition.
gesundheitk replied to Muncywolverine's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It'd be a cute idea to add in-game, although you'll notice as soon as everyone gets an opportunity to receive a better weapon, then they'll grab for it unless they got some serious balls. I like your creative ideas though. -
Left/Right handed weapon switch
gesundheitk replied to heliman (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I don't think it would effect gun gameplay so much, though the ability to choose whether you're a righty or left can really be more immersive.
