  1. So on top of it bugging out like in the thread I posted yesterday.

    http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?mode=linear&tid=26808&pid=236960#pid236960

I am also getting screen tearing from Barbed Wire Fencing. I don't know if I am the only one getting this, but here are some pictures. This happens whenever barbed wire is placed and I look in its direction from a distance. Usually anywhere between 300m-50m and through a wall.

As you can see when I get really close and take away any obstructions it goes away, but as I approach it with a wall dividing me and the placed barbed wire I get the tearing.

  2. Confirming: A wire fence can be taken down with a toolbox along with tank traps

Can and has. Like I have said I have taken down tank traps and wire fence with the toolbox before this, but this seems bugged. Also you get the option to take down the sandbags when you have a toolbox, but this is the first time I have tried and I couldn't take down any of the three from what I think is because of their positioning and overlapping of each other.

  3. Make sure you got entrenching tools man. I was able to remove any barbed wire with them like a pro (aiming at the middle pole).

Well unless it has changed in the last week I have been able to remove the tank traps and barbed wire fencing with the tool box. I am thinking it is just so overly cluttered that it won't work without breaking the other items and therefor won't let you do it, or it is thinking you can't do that action because something is in the way since all three are stacked on each other.

  4. ...to no prevail. Nothing would come down. Tried 3 times on each wire fence, the sandbags, and the tank trap, but nothing would come down.

Really need a new system with placement of these items.

EDIT: oh let me clarify... The option came up each time. I did the action with the toolbox and nothing happened afterwards. The option comes up for the sandbags too while only having the toolbox.

  5. Not reading other posts so I don't know if it has been said, but playing at night is a great way to set traps for other players. Especially if you are not attached too much to your gear.

Personally I have given up on stashing anything but basic supplies and the most high tech gun I am content with is an AKM which is pretty common. I killed two players the other day at the NE smaller airfield by throwing a couple of flares and camping the comms tower.

  6. So my main server was about to restart and I made my way to the NE AF (small one) to get my hands on some goodies.

I stay about 1km out so that I can kind of make my way in there safely. I come in from the SE and as I get up to the coms tower I see a road flare by the most western hanger. (About 1-2am)

After seeing nothing in the comms tower that would be useful I go to the top and walk around the glass and use my binoculars to get a good view of who else is looting. Two guys it seems. One in cammo the other in civ clothing. One using a M4A1 CCO and the other a G17 pistol with flashlight.

As they clear the first hanger they throw another flare and along the way they are clearing all the zombies. I wait for them to get to the base of the comms tower and clear out the zombies before I raise to a crouch and shoot the flashlight guy first and knock him out. Then I shoot the 2nd guy with the CCO M4A1. He hits me once, but I kill him with my M4A1.

I go to bandage myself and the 2nd guy stands up. I proceed to finish the job and kill him. Then I go to use a bandage and all of a sudden I am getting hit in the back by zombies. I turn around and there is like 10 of them. So not only did they spawn in they also never made a noise until they were bashing me over the head. They literally got up there in like 15 sec.

I really wish they would add normal movement sounds to zombies. No way they climbed the stairs as fast as they did. They must of climbed the ladder and it would be nice to hear someone/something climbing the ladder.

  7. I use a plastic memory card holder and push it between W and 2 and 3. Slots in so well it's as if they made it for this secondary purpose all along.

You are crazy... I just stick a penny between my "w" key and 2 and 3 number keys.

    Instructions below:

Use a penny like I already said lol. They need a use

  8. I has no proof, but I watched him enter the grocery store and he walked to the back. I walked around the outside and as he was picking something up I shot him 5 times with my Makarov through the glass. He passed out and I ran inside to quickly loot his body.

I noticed he wasn't dead so I tried shooting him some more in case he was just passed out. Then I saw that he was losing connection. I couldn't get into his gear and then his body just vanished.

I waited around the area for him to come back and watched the player screen by pressing "p".

He came back and I shot found him again wondering around just fine. Shot him again with my Makarov and he "lost connection" again.

I made map markers in game about the incident and he came back for a bit but left for w/e reason and didn't come back. He might of changed his name.

  9. I don't remember seeing anything in the patch notes about it, but about a week ago maybe 5 days ago I put it on and it teleported me into the middle of the ocean, but a few seconds later I was teleported to my recent location swimming in the ground. Luckily I didn't lose anything. Eventually I stood up and was good to go.

  10. Morphine spawns in military camps also. Found some in tents and hangers before. Usually spawn with other medical supplies as in Painkillers and Bandages.

Although I have never found Epi-Pens, Blood Bags, or Antibiotics outside of hospitals.

  11. Bandages are really... really common especially in military camps/airfields, hospitals, and grocery stores. 1 trip into a town with no hospital I can find up to at least 5 bandages. Morphine is really the only thing I worry about always having a good supply of. I can go oh shit I am bleeding out and run into a house and other places with a good chance of finding a bandage, but getting a broken bone is much more annoying.

Again like people say hundreds of times in these threads... It is a post-apocalyptic survival game. Zombies already have a chance to drop bandages (quite often I should add) and I already think that there is too much basic supplies imo. After raiding a couple of towns stores, a hospital and a couple of military basses I filled two tents up (holds 50 items) with food, drinks, medical supplies and other misc stuff.

  12. wtf lol. Yes lets make it into a modern FPS... How about the factions be Russia vs America and lets have a score limit and Capture the Flag modes.

Did I really just read a post about factions and no friendly fire in a zombie survival/survival of the fittest games forums?

    wow...

  13. Honestly I am done with new people joining my group that haven't played the tutorials yet.

Every time someone installs now and has never played ArmA I say go play the tutorials and if they don't and whine about not knowing how to vault, st map markers, go to third person, talk in game, read a compass etc etc I just say too bad and tell them the Tutorial teaches that to you.

I get really frustrated about bad coms and unwillingness to learn the game before you jump into a difficult mod with PvP.

Example: Today I had someone who without telling the group decided to go raid a town without morphine or a bandage. He got hit once(supposedly) and broke a bone and bled out outside of town.

He cried about it over our comms and we told him to log out to prevent blood loss since he was a few km away. When we got near the town he gave us a vague description of where he was. Apparently he didn't set a waypoint to the town and tried going in the direction of his best judgment. So he wasn't in the town when he got hit. He said he was in a clearing. We told him to log back in and since he had a map to make a waypoint on the middle of town then put your back to it and open your compass and tell us how many meters away he was and in what direction.

Needless to say he ended up dying. He didn't know how to set waypoints, didn't know how to read the map, didn't know how to use/read the compass.

People need to help themselves before asking for help. I really hate babysitting people.
