How the fuck did you miss out on project zomboid? But yeah, left 4 dead series is always worth a shout!
-
Hard for lone wolves? This is my gear right here... by the way, survived for like 7 hours on a fully populated server so you are literally talking out of your sphincter... Also, this sort of game thrives on whittling out the casuals. Why would they cater for the masses when that compromises very key components of the game? You are so fucking self absorbed to make this post which is essentially saying ''I find the game hard so you must make it easier for me!''. Bore off and play another game man. Did you make this topic on the sole basis of frustrating me? 'cause it fucking worked...

Your first encounter with a player in SA
LiamFX (DayZ) replied to Herkon's topic in New Player Discussion
Was just entering zelenagorsk and as I came round a corner two guys were fully kitted out chatting. I instantly put my hands up as if to say, ''just strolling through here boys''. They both reacted quite quickly in drawing their weapons and proceeded to tell me to 'get on the fucking ground!'. We conversed and once they realised I was no real threat they allowed me to get up and gave me an M4 (albeit with no ammo) and I went on my way. Awesome guys they were... -
This game is fucking beautiful! Also, this isn't even maxed out...
-
Of course there is a reason to seek other calibre weapons. how rare the ammo is surely would be a factor and also whether you have a lot of it at the time.
-
Dude, are they all the same picture? but seriously though, it really doesn't matter. I agree that hit areas are more worthwhile than the calibre itself. Not that that calibre doesn't matter, but you're thinking way to deep about it pal...

don't make excuses for you being a helmet. Go to fucking bed an realise what a massive tool you've been. Also, you've made 6 grand off of your private hive? A couple of points if you will... 1) This is currently libellous as we have no proof so surely it's irrelevant that you bring it up? 2) in what time frame? a year? 2 years? In that case it's rather a small amount of money to live on. equates to about 250 dollars a month over the course of two years. -

You're the most frustrating little twerp ever man. You think every penny of that is pure profit? What do you think pays the wages? What pays for the flights back and fourth to various locations during the making of the game? What pays for the equipment used? what pays for the fucking office electricty? You are vastly showing yourself to be moronic, please I implore you to stop before you get too deep -

100% sarcasm mate... sorry dude but your whole argument is based on the lack of 'physical' elements to the game. If you were as good as you make out at 'modding' or 'creating' games or whatever, you'd completely understand the term ''BEHIND THE SCENES'' I cannot believe that the only things you've touched on are the tangible changes to the game without comprehending the amount of work that went into the foundations of the game to make it not only available to people but stable enough to enjoy. There's currently 185,000+ survivors. if you can make a game that can cope with that amount of people after 2 days of it being released I will eat my fucking fist. -

DZUK - Vanilla DayZ | A Community Run Server
LiamFX (DayZ) posted a topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Alright guys? Recently I've seen seen a lot of people looking to play DayZ in its original state (myself included) but when i've searched for UK based servers there hasn't been that many. Maybe I haven't been looking hard enough, who knows.. I've set up this server for two reasons, one - I'd quite like to work out the kinks of running a server for a few months after the release of the game comes out. I'm not sure whether private hives or even publically hosted servers are allowed (unlike a lot of people, I don't read every morsel of information on the game) but that's a plan anyway. Two - As unlikely as it will be, i'd really like to try and create a community tailored to what I look for in this game, with the vein hope there will be others looking for that too! So either way here it is, If i've wasted my time I'm cool with that! DZUK http://www.dzuk.co.uk/ - 94.23.152.27:2332 The server itself i've tried to keep 100% vanilla except some sliiiight map adjustments. One thing that i've trying to do is instead of having one person or a small team of people run it, I want the community to decide how the server should run, if i'm so lucky to get a few people playing on it. whether it's things like 'side chat' being disabled, or whether it's more prominent changes (such as the addition of AI ), I will leave that pretty much up to the community as long as it keeps to to the ideals of DayZ. Anyone's welcome and if you fancy a laugh drop by. Also bare with me, I've done this on a whim and things are still work in progress, Liam -

Is dayz dying a slow death due to epoch? just seen nalalsk and panthera servers come up...why is dayz lagging behind?
LiamFX (DayZ) replied to piffaroni's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Sounds like you class dayz as some sort of novelty that's worn off. You're blaming the community but there are alot of servers out there with fantastic player bases that you could easily enjoy. All that's happened mate is that DayZ isn't a shiny new toy for you to play with -
If this is any consolation I played on a server that had a 'ghost' town just west of kamenka that made weird noises with burnt down buildings and stuff, Was a cool little addition to the server. What's the name of the server? Slim chance of it being the same one but you never know.

[Searching for a 3D ARTIST] Variant of DayZ Mod
LiamFX (DayZ) replied to john_arma's topic in Technology/Programming
epoch is fucking awful! Well actually, it's been pretty well made. But the whole premise is fucking awful. Really detracts from original dayz. Obviously an apocalypse hasn't happened, but i reaaaaallllly doubt that a form of currency would be created, apart from regular trading between items. -
Well I think we've all learnt from this experience, well done zaipy

Flickering and Reaping textures in Dayz and Arma. Makes it impossible to play. I can never see anything cause gray is always on my face
LiamFX (DayZ) replied to UltraGaming's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Sounds like those visual artifacts that Xucphra is talking about. But i'm pretty sure they disappeared during an update. I only had them very early on like a year ago -
Why are you putting him on the spot like that? Dude this isn't some sort of interrogation, he said he doesn't like the characer models.. Krihelion, I kind of know what you mean, they do look slightly lower res than perhaps some other textures. ne thing to remember is as other people have pointed out, the videos you've seen of whoever playing the game probably isn't super hi res, I just searched that video you were on about and the youtube fella said he was playing at 80% resolution so the textures are bound to look a bit shit

is the game installed on your SSD? You'll get much better performance if you do! Also certain options work in different ways. From what I've heard, disabling things like shadow detail will put the the load on your CPU rather than your graphics card (I think I got that the right way round) Also i believe playing with object detail on low/very low will improve your frame rate too. This is all conjecture from me by the way, I could have got it completely wrong. My settings are based on getting the game to look the nicest as I'm getting around 60-70 FPS solidly anyways
