I was in the industrial building in Stary, over watching the tents with an L85. Prior to this my mates thought it was funny because I was half sticking out under the railing. I was like "Wonder if you can crawl through and fall off?" Apparently where I was wouldn't let me. In the confusion of repositioning to cover them etc etc I ended up prone again, thought I was kneeling. Tapped the "E" to lean around the edge of the building. Did a barrel roll, slipped under the railing and did a three story belly flop onto the concrete below. The death message sends my squad mates into a frenzy, as all their gear was the floor where I was dead. Was a good laugh.

So me and my buddy were raiding Stary this morning. 15ish folks on the server. Before going in, we thermal the area. I covered him while he did so. We even did a bait run were I ran out to draw fire. Nothing, ok so we are looting the tents. I die. No biggie 25 day old character all the gadgets. I was killed by an AKM some where just infront of the tents in Stary. Guy Alt F4's to drop zombie aggro. Comes back, buddy is guarding my corpse, guy leans down to loot takes a head shot and 11 bullets exit my friends gun. I can't say for not if all 11 hit but at 15 meters I trust the majority did. Alt F4's again. We assume well at 11 bullets at best the guy is at 2k blood, bleeding broken blah blah. We've got a good ten minutes before he can even think about showing back up. Me having a hero skin starts my run back, before I could get to Stary from Otmel (Literally just a couple minutes), the guy managed to log back in kill my friend by ghosting in some where behind us (Over by the big industrial in stary) he insta aborts and sits in the lobby for a while. The player's name was Coldsteel. First of all I don't mind people using exploits its gonna happen. The question I have is, when you log out or Alt F4 isn't there suppose to be a small window where you're character can still die ? I thought it had a five second time period where all damage is recorded because 11 shots from an L85 at 15 meters...First one was probably a head shot. If not all center mass. I am curious how he managed to survive?

I'd mentioned some where if you have varies speeded Zombies (Faster and shamblers not this OMFG KENYAN ZOMBIES ALL DAY EVERY DAY, no offense for bad pun but point is made) Made the zombies or "INfected" next to no fucks given to anything but head shots...halved the ammo spawn rate globally, increase gun spawn rate (So people can find ammo and be like oh shit I need an AK to use this, instead of going ok I need Ammo for this here AS 50) This would cause a lot of shit to hit the fan.

The only thing I can comfort you with is muffins and the idea of a stand alone. As you seem to only have one post. The security issue -can not- be addressed much until the stand alone version of DayZ goes live.

Here is another idea. Take some people out and let them practice killing zombies. So far it was the funniest thing I've done. Giving my new squad mates Ak's and such putting them in the ATC and firing like 10 shots at Zombies with an MK 48 and just watching the horde come fight the AKM line. (Friendly fire is more accurate then enemy so becareful) @Derpi, don't post no more you got the right amount!

So did I, the difference my whiskey bottle wasn't empty! Was after about thirty minutes though, then my buddy crashed the chopper. Amazingly enough he survived..how he managed that but he did.

I did this once with a hatchet....found nine hatchets in ... I think Kaemnka. Normally the place is nice to me but this day..holy crap. Got sniped at, hid in the town axing all the zeds. Looting them all. Half life, middle of the street surrounded by dead zombies I finally found my food...sardines...I left them on the corpse til I found some beans. Buddy of mine finally got to me so I started messing with about trading him a hatchet for this or that. Had all the hatchets laying on the ground beside my pile -o- zombies.

You need more beans for explaining that much. To add to this, check sticky keys. Not that its a good chance but your toggle to walk button might be stickied. Or your crouch button any button that would slow you down has a chance to be stuck on. Another tip if you didn't know it double tapping any of the keys locks them from press, to toggle. So if shift if your hold to crouch, double tapping it turns crouch on toggle not press.

Oh I know it would rip your leg off. I'm ok with it killing with any thing above a hip and as long as its in the chest part of the shoulder. Just like the .50 DE...a body hit is mostly fatal due to force of impact. Turns the insides to mash potato. Crippling and disabling affects would be awesome in that respect. As far as small or more common weapons, if I'm running through a field and I take say three rounds, meat of the thigh, side of my chest and my left shoulder. I will most likely survive. Most likely make the run through the field as unless something gets struck like a bone I won't register the pain instantly. Sure many of us have received a wound or two where you didn't realize you were cut/bleeding until someone pointed it out. I once bailed over a barbed wire fence, just like dove. I didn't realize I caught the fence until I got home and realized my groin was torn out of my pants and I had a wicked looking slice on my inner thigh. (Before anyone asks I was running from a bull that had been let into the cow field with out our knowing, we were hunting in the wooded area there when the damn thing came at us.) Hell I don't know all the talk has me so excited for the stand alone. WTB stasis chamber until release?

Yea its a skill to know this stuff /google /practice with zombies /smile /wait for player to stop /smile and thank google. Now my smartassness aside. I understand having marksmanship skills in DayZ is rare look at all the forum post complaining about zombies killing people. "My pistol don't kill them." I ran around with a sniper, I had no will to go through the "Learning curve" of sniping in this game. I will give you guys the credit it -is- harder system then BF3 but your targets are slower. Soo...yea I found it much more of a "talent" with aiming when I took down 5 running zombies with 6 shots from an M9 SD. When ex military folks tell me "You are fucking surgical with that thing" thats when I smiled. Taking a player down with an M9 SD at 30 meters, when he as a Lee Enfield. Mind you a lot of snipers are snipers because yes they know what to do how to do the math and awesome. The people that are not worth mentioning are the snipers that kill the folks for no reason then to just do it. So annoying. Getting head capped = ok fair shot. Getting AS 50'd in the foot while zig zaging = stupid as hell.

Think about it! 3 years after the zombies hit...you'd trade your sister for a roll of TP and a hot shower. Hell with a gun I want to not smell like shit >.<

Yea. I have to agree here. I deal with hackers mentally better then them folks that play one handed in the hills with a sniper rifle getting hard over head shots for not reason then to just cap a bitch. As of now half the hackers that have killed me have given me my shit back so...the only real grudge I hold is those ghosting bastards and guys the put one in people's dome then never go check the body.

I really feel the OP here. However they did announce it was a social experiment meaning, the average player is needed. I'm currently testing 3 Alpha/Beta games. All of them have jerk off rage folks. DayZ by far has more numbers though...huge number advantage here. Plus think of it this way. If you let the average person play test and tweek the game there...all the elitism with testers ( I am guilty here I yell at people all the time in games when they can't admit they are messing up. Nothing burns my ass more then an asstard who -believes- he is good. When it comes to legit people telling me they suck I've sat down for hours and talked players through all kinds of mechanics) One thing I don't see often, from testing like since the 90's is I never get an email (Seeing as I have to use this to register) that has a sample bug report on it? I small how to on what information people are want. There is almost always a forum thread, sticky, but never detours to it. Lot of "testers" have no clue they need their system spec's and such. Lot of players don't know their system spec's for that matter. The point is if you let the average person in now and see their reaction its easier to tweek now as opposed to totally WTF NERF BAT WHOLE GAME later. So I'd say let them come rage, good info or no they are providing something at least to add to the game, sadly we have to put up with it...because we still will when the game goes stand alone.

I had this before. Though I bought my stuff through steam. DayZ needs a file from ArmA II if you just have OA or CO you still need the original ArmA II it has the file you are after (I'm pretty sure). You can get ArmA II free (Demo) from steam, download it, load it up once to make sure its runs. Then you should be able to load up CO or OA which ever you have and play DayZ. If not, at that point it becomes a pathing issue. Side note, once DLed and such I don't even have to sign into steam to play DayZ or ArmA II so I wouldn't worry about it being compatible.
