Actually the river is defining coast in Chernarus, but even then i may confirm this city (Usti nad Labem) is multiple times bigger than Chernogorsk :) btw nice comparison there:

Why not, but it would be great if some covering mechanism (e.g. Red Orchestra II comes to mind) is implemented together with this.

Assuming you are clothed (and a lot of characters in DayZ seem to be quite overclothed :) ), jumping through window shouldn't do you much harm unless you are really unlucky and/or unhandy
