Hey guys a quick one, We've got our server set up how we want it etc it's been brilliant for days but we're thinking about updating our BETA patch on our next restart as it's currently out of date quite a bit, we know it isn't crucial for the server to run but it's nice to try and keep ontop of everything. Just to make it simple its [1.7.2.5/(ARMA PATCH NUMBER)] what we are looking to update. Any help? We can't find a tutorial or anything anywhere. Cheers, Ash.

Player 'Eclipse ID 24908102' Kicked numerous times by BE for spawning vehicles. Maybe look into this player.

Thanks, does the 'exec ban' actually work? Got a guy trying to spawn vehicles but he can still get access. Does the server need restarting when his ID has been added to 'ban.txt'? -
Trip wires are also needed, surround a vehicle or tent, come near it... oops.

Hackers ruin the game for everyone. From what I hear it FAR TOO EASY to hack this game, needs to be an incredible patch to stop ingame scripts being pasted in by players or something. Hope they sort it, game seams to be loosing alot of interest.

When the hackers are gone, we will be free to roam the map rather safely. I think my death rate of hacker to genuine is around 34/1. Hackers kill. (Speed kills also in your case, hehe)

Too complicated I think, we've got too much stuff to gather to try and survive as it is. Could end up with multiple pieces of the map whilst trying to get the other pieces. Maybe various different FULL maps, some more details then other like basic map, military map and maybe more would be a good idea!

Can't wait to let my feline loose. Hope it loots bodies for us and is made of steel. Will cry if my doggy dies. Also hope it doesn't get infected like in the film "I am legend." and have to put it down myself with my bare hands! :(

Course they are rare, but people storing them in a tent from the '.4' patch isn't? People used to store their rare weapons in hidden tents to go hunting so they didn't die with it. Unless they owned 2 ofcourse. Then you've got the old duping of weapons with the tents in previous patches. All in all if you find a tent with one in, it will most likely be there again when the server restarts.

Crashed choppers are your best bet, kill the zombie drivers too, they drop higher loot than average. Good luck

Yeah hackers are least likely to loot bodies, they only spawn their own items to kill you. Pathetic but true.

Like a sheet/cover you mean, I like the idea but vehicles are hard enough to find now I think. Maybe if there was plenty more vehicles, this would be a brilliant idea!

Afraid the current patch DOESN'T save vehicles where you save them. They will be where you found it or where it was last saved from version '.4'. It's a shame, hope they fix it.

Hi Rixen, he's correct the CAPS LOCK button as default does open your mic to ingame chat. Personally I don't know what the group channel is or does but I know vehicle chat chats to anyone in a vehicle you are riding or driving. However direct chat speaks out loud to any players close by to a certain distance, the further away you are from someone the quieter you sound. I changed my button due to using caps lock for Teamspeak so I changed mine to LEFT TAB I find this much better, don't want to be giving your position away by accidentally communicating to a bandit ;) Hope I helped.

I believe in this current DayZ patch that tents will save where you place them but the objects inside wont. However Vehicles won't save at all, it's bad but it's made me find alot more vehicles in other servers seeing as people can't collect and hide them all anymore. Happy surviving.
