Seriously? People don't progress and level up in real life? You must have come out of the womb writing songs for Al Green and Micheal Jackson, invented the Personal Computer and Internet, and already cured Cancer and Autism. How do you suppose someone knows how to pick the right tool for the job? Oh yeah, that's right, experience.

What is DayZ?

S'mores. We need to be able to make s'mores at campsites. Or, everyone could just go outside and enjoy hot chocolate and kittens and s'mores instead of playing a game with every second of free time and demanding it is more like real life. Just saying.

This idea came to me while watching World War Z the other day. What would happen if when your avatar has the infection it is immune from zombies; you can literally walk through a town and they ignore you. Of course, you still have the very limited time left, you are still losing blood rapidly, but a player would at least have a chance to beeline for the hospital. Or, should they already have antibiotics a risky player might try to make a run into a fire station or barracks before running out of town to heal. The actions of the character for someone watching over the town would be telling as well. I thought it might provide some new angles of game play, give people another last ditch chance of surviving rather than just running to the beach to die, and provide another angle to the infection system which might help balance it out. Thoughts? Not sure if this has been mentioned, or similar. I have not been on the forums for a long, long time. Been playing some Breaking Point though and Last of Us. Cheers all.

I said nothing about immunity or being a carrier. I said that zombies wouldn't be so prone to attack while your character is bleeding out from the zombie infection.

As shown in the now Graveyarded thread Can I Suggest a stand alone beta sign up thread? I have clearly proven my adeptness with forum administration tasks by posting the required answer post in response to the a fore mentioned thread, and several posts before a current member of the DayZ Forum Team plagiarized my posting. It should also be noted, as well as serve as a matter of reference, that I received three cans of beans which parallel current DayZ Forum Team members' amount of gifted beans. I must have spent many, many hours trolling on this forum and that is with a job too; well, recently that has been with a job as I spent some months since the inception of this MOD trolling this forum while I was unemployed. For all intents and purposes you could say that I was on this forum full time at that point and in a volunteer capacity. This should also serve as a reference. Also, please give me a free invitation to the Standalone Beta immediately following inclusion into the Forum Team. (this thread is provided purely for satire and humor)

So who wants to put money on Rockstar Games putting zombies from Red Dead Redemption into GTA and causing real competition for DayZ? (because someone needed to mention GTA)

This is so amazing! FINALLY someone makes a vanilla DayZ sever that takes us all back to the beginning of the alpha, maybe even back to the beta if we are lucky. All of this so called "progress" which has centered around the community development and what users are asking for has been moving the game in totally the wrong direction. Rocket take notice; do not add all of these progressive elements into your standalone or it will be a total failure. Go back to what worked in the very beginning, watered down ARMA 2 with glitchy zombies. This is what the community wants.

Dayzgaming.com There will always be hackers mate, but on select servers the hackers will be taken care of immediately. This server group has several levels of whitelisiting and vetting, public, whitelisted, and private. The whitelisted level is virtually hacker free.

Was asked by my clan admin to step into a training role for our hive. We seem to have a lot of new players, surprisingly enough, and they have a lot of questions, though they picked our PvP hive servers to start out. These servers are becoming very popular, very quickly. I cannot even imagine how frustrating that must be for the poor bambies. I look back on my learning curve and marvel at how far I had to go to get where I am. For this reason I will be seeking out and looking to those established medic types to learn this new play style. I know that many of you have been playing this way for awhile and so you have picked up a few tricks along the way. I will need then to complement my patience and training skills.

Of course I totally agree with this. I am one of the tough, throw them in the fire types even IRL.

Must be one incredible laptop. Try hard wiring the desktop Just because the speeds are what they are does not mean that your router can separate and push the bandwidth. My roommate is running Halo 4 on LAN while I run DayZ wireless with no issues. And it is not the best router. Though hardwired will always be better no matter what.
