Call to the devs and server admins about the issues with open servers.

100% agree, we pay for 2 servers as we want to have a place where 10+ friends can meet up and have fun together. Also, we want other people who love DAYZ to be able to play on our servers.. we need to come up with something to please both sides. What will happen if people stop paying for servers?. a group of friends who pay for a server together (in most case) expect to be able to play together.. My 2 cents. -

I always hate the fact that they are probably discussing on Teamspeak if they should kill you or not, or when.. All you can is wait, i love this game :)

Thanks Rocketa, I did noticed REVERSED time-zone servers located in the EU. So it seems to be possible. I might be wrong here but if allot of people with high pings, say 150-250ms connect to my server, wouldn`t that cause lag for the others? I mean, if 1 person really lags on a Arma Server, other players will be effected (Arma`s token system) ? -

I rented a server today (vilayer), it worked fine for 2-3 hours but now people receive the message "Server side version is incorrect..". Any idea what i can do? Btw first e-mail i received from Vilayer today was a warning to all those who do not follow the rules set by DAYZ team. It seems allot of IP`s were banned because some people just fuck around... I want my server up! :) -
We just rented 2 from vilayer.com, awesome service even on Sunday lol. Server is online in about 2-3 hours and ready to rock.

/noobmode Can`t the DEVs just add a mandatory logoff timer, say 15 seconds? Not being able to join another server for 15 minutes would be really bad imho. I do agree, it`s lame quitting while being attacked etc..
