theres two airfields in the north, did you see how many hangers there was? the one in the north east has only 2 big hangers , but the north west airfield has a shit load. also the northwest airfield is surrounded by trees, but the northeast is out in the open. -

np man, i was just trying to find a bicycle too, was going to zip along the south coast to see if you where down that end but was having trouble logging onto your server :( shame it ended with a slow horrible death, but its all good now :D

well if your on the beach theres hope, clouds in dayz always move from west to east, so if you can only see the sea to the east you are north of chernarus. if you the beach travels east you must be west of chernarus, let me know and i'll see if i can get to you.

problem is dude someone could be looking for you for days and not find you, the "wilderness" otherwise known as the debug plains as HUGE area, its at least 3 times the size of the main dayz map, did you walk into the plains yourself or did you just appear there?

try logging onto a server that has an incompatible DayZmod version number, this can cause your location save data to be wiped thus spawning you on the beach.

or you could try logging onto a server that has an incompatible version, that should cause it to hang at the loading screen, then exit and try logging back into your usual server,

its unlikely, but the best way to find out is to download ARMA2 FREE and see if it runs, wouldnt get your hopes up though. -

I bought arma2 just to play DayZ, been playing for about 3 weeks now and have absolutely no regret, Thing to remember is it IS just a mod so its far from perfect, way i look at it is im contributing to the testing of the dayz standalone, and at the same time getting to enjoy the most immersive game i've ever played, and i DO get attached to my gear which just makes the whole experience much more tense. Looking through the forums there definately is a problem with hackers which probably wont get fixed in the Mod but should be much less of an issue in the standalone, but I personally havent had a single encounter with a hacker in 40 hours of gameplay, but i'm probably just lucky. (now ive said that i'm probably going to get turned into a rabbit the next time i log on)

No, graphical glitches dont bother me much as i can always get rid of them by switching from very high to high in the textures option, the only problems i have with wire fencing is zombies can just walk straight through it and its just too readily available due to duping/hacking, but thats a separate problem.
