    There will be no discount for people who bought Arma2 just to play the mod. DayZ standalone will be released as an alpha for around $15 if you buy it when it is first released, the price will increase as more content is added upto around $30.

    Im a GIMP man too......err Anywho, as others have said its not quite up there with Photoshop but its pretty amazing for a freebie.

    From what i've seen the main reason these streamers are making people pay to get whitelisted is so they can enjoy the game without getting stream sniped every 5 minutes. Which i think is fair enough.

    Please dont label everyone that plays on the public servers a cheater. I still play on public servers for a few reasons. 1: I'm a medic and as such playing on a private hive would limit my potential 'customers'. 2: I want to continue to support dayz by playing and therefore testing the official hive. 3: Playing on a private hive can limit who you can team up with, 4: I can be a stubborn git sometimes and i refuse to allow pathetic little skiddies dictate how i play this game. It also helps that i can handle losing all my gear, scavenging is all part of the fun for me. And i'm sure theres many other legitimate reasons that people have for sticking to the public servers.

    As far as Chernarus is concerned i think food and weapons/ammo should be more scarce, temperature could be tweaked but not to the extremes that you find in Namalsk as that wouldnt fit in with Chernarus' enviroment.

    Theres an interview with rocket where he says something along the lines of he's wants to add new maps in the future, possibly even community made maps. but i cant see it happening for a while.

    I believe theres always a CZ in the gear of the white pickup truck when it first spawns.

    ive never actually used the czech vest pouch but the only good reason i can think of for using it is that its smaller size might mean its easier to conceal yourself when lying prone in tall grass.

    While i can totally understand the temptation to take items from one of these friendly (Lonely) hackers, My own policy is to politely explain that i have no desire for hacked in gear and just walk away/run like hell. If people continue to massage their ego's by accepting these gifts it just helps them to justify their actions.
