Once got slowly crushed to death by my own V3S, Parked it up next to a couple of trees and jumped out the drivers seat to find the trees were too close together and i was pinned with the truck slowly inching down the hill, leg breaks, frantic struggle to find option to get back in truck, you are dead. Best bit was my buddy who was there moved the truck, put all my gear in the back, moved the truck back, and jumped out the drivers seat to find the trees were too close together and was pinned with the truck slowly inching down the hill... Two funny deaths for the price of one.

As jordan said the bullet delay is most likely server lag as at that range the hit should be pretty much instant. And as far as wind is concerned, they are already working on it for the mod http://dayzmod.com/f...listics-system/ Edit:bloody ninja's >:(

Still testing, still need testers, The zombie AI is being tweaked and played with pretty much everyday, they just need more people to come on and give feedback.

One problem is the game is simply too buggy, its way too easy to die from glitchy teleporting zombies/lag/dsync/random exploding vehicles/flying ATV's/doors..you get the idea. I expect the standalone to be better in this respect but i'm sure there's still going to be lots of dumb ways to die and this will just cause too much frustration if every time you die you lose everything. And as others have mentioned, having tents just disappear into thin air when someone dies makes as little sense as a new spawned character automatically knowing where to find a tent full of gear. Its always going to be a problem when you have a persistant shared world like this. I do like the idea of a super hardcore ironman style server setting where if you die you lose everything but i probably wouldn't play on it that often. and would bet it wouldnt be highly populated, Its hard enough getting players on to a veteran server. -
Am I the only person that really doesn't care for 'base building'?

i could be mistaken, but i had a similar problem and that fixed it. -
Heres a pretty good guide on graphics settings for dayz http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/28160-guide-how-to-set-up-your-graphics-properly/, The thing that made the most difference for me was overclocking my cpu, but theres lots of other things you can try. its generally a case of trial and error to find the right settings for your setup. good luck.

How populated is the server? on a busy server 15 hours is plenty of time for even the best hiding spots to be uncovered, especially if theres heli's roaming around.

A column of Multi coloured rainbow smoke grenades appeared out of the ground beneath my body pushing me 1000 meters into the air then suddenly disappeared letting me fall to my doom all to the theme of the NYAN cat song. I felt..surprised.
