The only clothing/skins in vanilla dayz are bandit. survivor, hero, camo and ghillie. many private hives have added soldier clothing as well, but that doesnt spawn naturally on vanilla servers.

@ ANDRO You're mistaken, look at previous changelogs, they dont list every single idea that was removed, they simply delete the entry. [REMOVED] is used when something is actually removed from the game.

Yeah, i'm really looking forward to what happens with the global loot table, wonder if the stats will be publicly available, same with disease tracking, that'll make for some great reading. -
Bounty Hunting (Suggestion Mainly for Standalone)

For me one of the core ideals of Dayz is that everything that happens in game is player driven, this to me means no quests and no AI, Its not a bad suggestion in itself but i dont think it fits in with type of game that dayz is. Also, theres no stages of banditry in the mod, Dayz Origins has this i think, not Dayz. -
Look at it this way, the viral zeds have nearly the same HP as the players, they're not buffed at all, it was just the original zeds were severely nerfed.

Maybe jackfrags was just asking the questions he knew his followers would be interested in. They were good questions to ask i'd say, it allowed rocket to get across the message that the alpha would be very back to basics, something that many who dont follow the development so closely might not realise. -

Medical boxes still spawn in hospitals, just very rarely, medical loot in general now has a chance of spawning at all loot locations. not just hospitals.

Gews, have you tried them in game yet? i was testing the m1911 and makarov out earlier and they didnt seem any different to normal, to kill a zed took about 6-7 body shots with the makarov and 4-5 with m1911, I checked the code and what you say is right but the in game results are different for some reason.

Are you sure you're thinking of vanilla DayZ? Just asked R4ZOR49 about this and theres no benefit to being a bandit, and also heroes running faster is a myth. only the hero skins bullet resistant vest is true.

If a zed follows you down a steep enough hill he will just run off the like something from a warner brothers cartoon and then plummet to his his death. its amusing. And i voted hatchet. but then changed it to steep hill. -

True it can be easy to get the hero skin, but you wont keep it for long if you just use it to trick and murder people. and with the current lack of bloodbags spawning its now much harder to exploit the system. -
New DayZ Loot Spawn Locations??

So far i've found loot around unenterable houses/buildings, on rubble piles and on vehicle wrecks, as Dsi1 says the chance of loot spawning is quite low. -

No they planned on adding a mechanic like this for one of the old patches but it was abandoned, if i remember rightly it was too cpu intensive and causing lag.

Think i can answer this one for you joe, assuming the way the map is created in the standalone is the same as in arma, placing a building onto the map that had a basement would just sink the basement through the ground but the ground itself would still be there filling the space of the basement. I'm not saying that i know for sure its impossible to remove that part of the ground but i'm pretty sure it cant be done in arma. There's no excuse for having no attics :D
