  6. In 1.7.7 you wouldn't of lasted 1 minute playing like you were in that video,nevermind 5 minutes, and considering there was zero attempt to be sneaky i'd say thats the way it should be.

    People need to stop jumping to conclusions when we hardly have any facts. They have said from the start that there wont be any private hives at least to start with,and now people are getting worked up over one unofficial and most likely misinterpreted comment from reddit.

    No theres no nerfery of snipers going on here, there are new Viral zeds that can take almost as much damage as a player though.

    Best bet is to just search for your current version number. so you'd just search for 1.7.7.1 for the latest patch for standard dayz

    I assumed the OP was referring to the three different pictures you get for heroes and bandits in the new journal from the 1.7.7 patch. (although those pictures aren't actually in yet, the journal is still a work in progress)

    For the beta patch just unpack it anywhere and run the .exe, it will automatically find the right folder and install For the dayz file unpack it and put the @Dayz folder and the Keys folder into your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder it will probably say there are already folders in there with the same name select to replace all. if your using steam it will be here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead I would recommend using DayzCommander though, it really does make keeping thing updated really easy.

    Its not really stages of heroes, its more like a visual representation of the progression of your characters life. so no, theres no different skins. Theres no humanity gained from killing bandits, only from giving medical aid to players. I havent encountered this bug in a long time it may still be an issue on some servers, hard to say. In the initial release there wont be a humanity system, Rocket has said he wants to see how players interact with each other before going down that road.
  19. No one said anything about there being no chance to get "an" infection from being hit by zombies, they are after all covered in crap and bacteria. You're post suggested that you wanted a single hit from a zombie to be a 100% chance to get the "zombie" virus did i interpret that wrong?

    I'd also like to see more appropriate after effects of being hit in certain body parts, shot in the arm cant use that arm for a long period, shot in the leg cant walk, this would be great if friends could carry you while concious or simply help support you to slowly move away. shot in the balls gives you a permanent high voice. Getting shot at all should cause severe impairment to vision and aim until the wound has been tended to and painkillers given, we have some of this already in the mod but nowhere near severe enough. OP i agree that the current system is a bit too dumbed down, but theres so many other ways add greater consequences to being shot.
  21. What do you mean by "supposed to be"? It seems you're stuck on the idea of traditional zombies that turn people into other zombies, thats not what we have here in dayz.
  22. It's been stated many times that the zombies in the E3 videos are nowhere near finished. i think you're being a bit too quick to judge.

    Zombies in buildings

    In the mod zombies do spawn in buildings, its a fairly new feature so maybe you just missed it. But yeah i expect we will have to clear out zeds from buildings in the standalone.
