How about the fact that it was posted by the lead dev of the mod in the rolling changelog for the mod. But to be fair i dont think anyone was expecting the mod to get a new ui, i'd say that people thinking it was for the standalone is a pretty good compliment to the guys working on the mod. -

If i get caught out with infection and no antibiotics the first thing i do is go hunting and fill my inventory with meat from animals,This will considerably extend the time you have to find antibiotics. As you play pay attention to where you see animals spawn as there are certain hotspots where you can almost guarantee to find them, here's one for free, there's a small town just north of Elektro called Pusta, on the north side of Pusta is a sloped field that usually has a load of animals. Now of course ideally you want a hatchet, knife and matches to go hunting. If you dont have a hatchet you can usually find piles of wood in farm buildings and supermarkets, you still need to kill the animal though, but any weapon will do for that. If you dont have matches then the only way to cook the meat is to find an oil barrel, these can be lit without matches but are often found burning, Cherno is a good place to go for these. there's one inside the large half built factory building on the east side of town. another behind the eastern hospital a load in the central industrial area and one in the garden of a house near the store on the west side of town. Now if you dont have a knife it does get tricky as there's no other way to gut an animal. best places to find one are industrial and residential, To keep yourself going while searching you're probably going to have to kill some zeds they often have food,drink bandages and pistol ammo on them. Lure some into a building and take them out preferably with a melee weapon, but if you're a confident shot use a pistol and aim for the head to conserve ammo, the large industrial units with the blue doors are good for this as you have plenty of room to keep them at a safe distance. If you are thorough and search every loot pile you're going to find what you need eventually, but dont take stupid risk's, if you see a hatchet in an industrial unit but its surrounded by zeds dont just rush in there hoping to grab it and run, chances are you'll get slapped, instead find a way to distract them, flares are great for this, throw them past the zeds away from the loot and they will slowly walk over to investigate. then you can sneak in. At the end of the day its all about experience, you have to learn where the loot is and learn how to deal with zeds. Hope this helps Oh, and as far as snipers are concerned that comes down to experience as well, try to think where you would be if you were sniping, then make sure to never stay still when in clear view from those locations. -

Its a concept image, it was probably made by the artist that designed the new menu to show to Razor, he has then passed this onto us, maybe Razor just didnt have an image to hand showing it in the latest build. The fact that the gun in the players hands is different to the one in the gear menu should be enough proof of this. (judging by the colour of the wood i'd say its an M14) -
you can get away with 50m, any lower and it'll hurt, the chute might still open but not in time to slow you down.

What makes you think that though? The glimpse of the map that we saw at E3 shows that there is no expansion, why do you think otherwise? -
Anything in the rolling changelog is what they are currently working on for the Mod and has nothing to do with the standalone, its all work in progress and subject to change. There's no building currently in the game.

Its probably just a random screenshot taken from a non vanilla server with the new gear menu stuck on top, if the player was accessing the gear you wouldn't be able to see his gun at all. -
If you limit your search to hospitals you're going to struggle, antibiotics can spawn in literally any loot pile now and theres also many more places that spawn loot, check the rubble in the streets, the doorways of non enterable houses, random sheds, car wrecks.. There's loot everywhere its just going to take time for people to realise it.

Last time i tried you couldn't switch to the pilot seat in a heli, you can in the biplane though. But still, if the pilot dc's you just eject and float to safety.

Just joking, but yeah i was referring to fontgate. personally i think the font looks fine, in fact i'd go so far as to say i really like the font. Wait, just realised you meant the font on the right side of the menu, i was thinking of the main left side menu, my apologies. and yeah, i'm not such a big fan of that one :rolleyes: Wouldn't say it was bad but it does seem a little out of place. A little too frivolous for a game of this kind. -

You might have post processing on, if it is disable it, it might help but with only 2.6ghz you might want to consider overclocking, you should be able to easily get it over 3ghz which should make a big difference. though dont do it if you're not sure, or not willing to risk ruining your cpu. -

I'm playing on a duel core and getting 25-40 fps in the middle of cherno, you can get good results if you get it set up right, and of course overclocking helps. -
But then If the player count is given out by the server at all then people will just be able to have a browser open with GameTracker displaying everything for them.

No, it just means there will always be at least one pile of loot in each building, as it is now there's a chance you can go into a building and find nothing at all.

Yes, and and his exact words are " we've set a date now, like a window of about a week" The key word here is 'Window', This means they have a rough date they want to release, its not a specific day, but it will fall within a specific week some time in the future. And the most likely reason they haven't told us which week it will be is because if something unexpected comes up and they release one day late the whole fucking world would implode.

Only problem with this is you could be playing on a server for days before realising no one else ever goes on there, You'd be making it difficult for the people who want to play on a populated server. A better suggestion i've seen is to have a rough indicator of how populated each server is, could be as vague as above or below 50% full.
