Try repairing the body and fueltank, this may fix the wheels too.

Anyone know where Vilayer are for support?
fluxley replied to aphex187's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Pretty sure Vilayer are eu based so going on their TS during the day rather than evening might help, (assuming you're from the UK as your server sig suggests) other than that no idea sorry. There's no excuse for them not answering tickets, they've always been a bit slow in that regard. And yes, i'm gonna go listen to some Aphex Twin right now. -
Sadly i think you may be right.

The current system is if a player logs out while the combat timer is flashing it is reported in the server logs. If you have someone combat log on you report as much info as you can to the admin. time, place, description of player, what weapons were involved, whether or not any one was actually hit. they can use this info to identify the player and then act as they see fit. Some admins are more active in this department than others. but it is very difficult to be 100% sure that someone has combat logged.
-
Noted, never actually bothered with it myself.
-
Yeah, seems to me theres simply too much delay betweeen the client and the server database even on a good day, would lead an unreliable and very exploitable system. Though Dayz Redux has a system where if you log out or disconnect in any way while in combat you simply die. but that probably a bit too brutal for the average player.

Or you can download via Steam http://store.steampo...com/app/224580/ Or manually from here http://dayzmod.com/f...od-1771-hotfix/ Though i would recommend DayzCommander.

They almost released a patch with a system like this a while back but took it out at the last minute. the problem is its impossible to tell the difference between someone who combat logs and someone who's game genuinely crashes, plus i imagine duping would be a major issue as Beck says.

Pretty much sums up breaking point for me, "Just add moar!!"

First priority for me is always find a melee weapon preferably a hatchet. so i always head straight for the nearest farm and industrial loot locations. hopefully i'll find a knife too, then head for residential spawns mainly for matches, backpack and a pistol, Chances are you will of found some food and a rifle along the way, but if not you will hopefully have the gear to go hunting animals or if you get really desperate hunting zeds as they often have food and drink on them. Always try to fight zeds on your own terms, drag them into buildings or lose them behind trees or by weaving around buildings through town, trying to fight them out in the open will usually end up with you getting hit and infected. As for the aim of the game, I think the key is to just set yourself a simple task such as going to a certain area, finding and fixing a vehicle, getting so many kills or bloodbagging so many random strangers, whatever it may be you'll find that on a busy enough server the random encounters you have with other players will make achieving whatever basic goal you set yourself eventful.

Yup, that should work fine.

you're such a cubist

I personally dont go looking for pvp, the more i put value into my characters life the more intense the pvp situations are. if i just did the elektro deathmatch scene all the time it would soon become dull and repetitive for me and i'd lose the fear of dying that makes this game so great.

Yup, even after over 2000 hours i can still get a good hit of adrenaline in a gun fight. learnt to control it a long time ago, but the buzz is still there.
-
This is why most games developers dont like giving out too much info about a game before its released.

The images of the guns shown at rezzed are not how the guns will look when finished, they were just work in progress shots without the full textures maps, the AK that rocket was using in game look pretty good to me, though its hard to get a good idea without actually playing it. Also the sounds are just placeholders, they have confirmed that all the sounds will be redone at some point but for now are just using the arma 2 sounds so they can concentrate on more important things. Arma 3 dayz will always be limited in what it can achieve due to it being a mod. With the new standalone engine they will be able to, Spawn zombies and loot at the server start. eliminating the issues of loot cycling and using zombies as a player radar. Every item will have its own values allowing them to add damage and diseases to individual items, Dramatically increase the amount of zombies and players on the server. Totally redo the vehicle system. Create a complex medical system And lets not forget the new server architecture will make hacking much much more difficult.

Ah right, you do need arma, maybe you can fool it by pointing it to a fake arma directory in settings, this should work as dayz doesnt actually go through an install process it just needs to be in the right folder.

Everything has changed! Please, help!
fluxley replied to hoffa (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
You can still find loot in all the same places as before, its just there's less chance of it, But to counter that they've added new loot locations all over the place. Check around the outside of buildings, the doorsteps of non enterable houses, next to sheds, in the middle of rubble piles in the street, that kind of thing. You'll be surprised how much you can find just by slowing down and checking every building in a small town like Kamenka. -
You dont need dayz installed in for dayzcommander to work, its purpose is to download dayz. But anyway, theres no single place to manually download all the mods that i know of, but these might help for dayz http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/140121-dayz-mod-1771-hotfix/ and theres a good few maps and mods on opendayz http://opendayz.net/

What Do You Think About DayZ DLC's?
fluxley replied to Devon206 (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Rocket has said they have considered making official tools that community map makers could use. could be a long way off though i'd guess. -
Is this another flashback?

In standalone will I need to open a pharmacy?

In standalone will I need to open a pharmacy?
fluxley replied to meat pie's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Fuck, that video just gave me a mini flashback. -
When rocket said a window of a week he meant they have decided on a specific week that they want to release the game in. he also said that they wont be saying which week that is as its an internal deadline.

DayZ Commander and Play With SIX
fluxley replied to maninthewall's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
At a random guess could be that a new update to your antivirus has decided it doesnt like them, try disabling it to see if it makes a difference.
