    They've considered it but there would be censorship issue's in certain countries so it's unlikely to happen.
  4. This is an arma limitation rather than a dayz one, so its seems very unlikely. would be nice to be wrong though.
  5. Thats not the debug plain, just very close to it. The most likely reason for the trail going north from Cherno ending so suddenly is that up to that point there are lots of buildings and roadblocks, this would cause players to slow down and so show up more on the heat map.

    I believe the current system for helicrashes in main hive vanilla is two heli's spawn at server start then more spawn over time, usually around every 50 minutes. So this means if a server isn't restarted very often there will be lots of heli's. recommended is every 6 hours at least. Private hives can often use a different system to this as heli crashes are controlled server side.

    If you want to make suggestions for Origins, you'd be better off going to the Origins forum. it's a completely separate mod.
  8. Say what now?? i didn't realise they'd changed weapon damage values like that, disappointing. I've only had a brief go on DayZero, first impressions were, Runs smooth. The new buildings interiors are very well done, though there's not really that many different ones. Loot seems well balanced, as in there's not guns around every corner, you actually have to search for survival gear unlike most mods. Didn't find any new guns so can't comment on that. Vehicles spawn in random locations which is cool. Zombies, there's more of them but they are weak. so unless you get yourself trapped it's still too easy to just run around not paying much attention to them.

    Not a big fan of group spawning as i feel it would give groups a big advantage over lone players. Though it would only happen if they all happen to die at the same time, so i guess i could live with it.

    There VOIP in the game for a reason, if your friends want to communicate something to you theres nothing stopping them saying it themselves thats far more realistic if you ask me.

Yup, would love this to be in game, would be nice to have to check them once in a while too. @OP, you pretty much answer your own question, having things like scopes and other attachments not only gives players an extra something to aim for but also allows for some degree of personalisation to equipment making players feel their characters are more unique.

Option number one please, I'd much rather have to stop for a few seconds and have the animation, And it's still a huge improvement over having stop and put your gun into your backpack everytime you want to get your hatchet out. The quick swap is just far too instant and the lack of an animation just simply looks naff.

    If someone kills me because they don't want to take a chance on me being friendly then fair enough, i can live with that, if i want to interact with people its down to me to gain their trust. Hopefully the increased difficulty in survival, thousands of items/crafting and more in depth mechanics all round will keep people entertained a bit more than what we have right now.

    Like you say, for most, lifespans would be quite short making reaching a cap very difficult. But giving people a system based on increasing ability the more you do something would give people an incentive to try harder next time to survive longer. Definitely would be tricky to get the balance right though.

    Rocket has said that there wont be a humanity system in the alpha to start with, and they will look at it later when they have more data on how people are playing the game.

    Because unlike the humanity system, real life human relationships are not black and white. You can't complain about destroying immersion and at the same time defend a system that forces a characters skin to change, Not everyone who gets the bandit skin goes out their way to kill people, maybe they're just very skilled or lucky and always manage to kill the other guy first.
  21. Combining magazines wasn't in the mod 8 months ago when this thread was started. Anywho, like all these ideas apart from Slow ass headshot only Romeroesque zombies, much prefer the dayz infected.

    Thats pretty good BigMike, so long as the entry/exit points aren't fixed in one location, otherwise people would just camp for people crossing over.
