disorder I respect your stance on not wanting to abuse what you consider an exploit, but as you are aware zombies walking in buildings is not something that they can fix, it makes sense that they would design the zombies bearing this in mind, they expect people to run into buildings to get easy kills and so to counter this zombies needed to be made more of a threat elsewhere. That's the purpose of infection, now you really have to weigh up the risk of going into an area with many zombies. also, don't know if you've seen the future plans they have, but the next patch will introduce the ability to swap between melee and a gun much quicker, this will effect gameplay greatly i expect, making handling surprise attacks from zombies much easier. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/141571-rolling-changelog/#entry1411937 Plus the mechanics for infection itself is still a work in progress http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/139669-17-infection-wip-update/

I don't think they have anyone available to make new animations so they are limited to the existing arma animations, remember it's just a small team of community volunteers working on the mod in their spare time. -
Tried this a couple of times. First time actually had a bus service going along the coast, took a while to get some passengers and after reaching the scheduled stop at Electro got attacked by a bunch of thugs, bus took damage and many people died, fun was had by all. The other time was on a server that actually had a yellow taxi, so fixed it up and announced my services to the server, seemed pretty well received, even the resident bandit clan said they'd resist filling me full of holes. Picked up a few guys and no one died. So long as you accept that it could all go wrong and can bear to lose everything then its a lot of fun.

Make sure to run both versions of arma at least once. Then start up dayzcommander and go to install/update and install the updates, should look something like this. ARMA 2: 103718(Up to date) <<this is the arma 2 beta patch, has to be installed after you have run arma2 and arma2:OA DAYZ: 1.7.7.1 (Up to date) You also need to make sure that dayzcommander knows where your game files are. Go to settings and check that the game directories are pointing to the right place. You dont need combined operation, thats just Arma 2 and Arma 2 operation arrowhead sold as a bundle.

Yeah, I had a similar setup and was getting around 15-20 fps in the cities at high settings, Overclocked the cpu to 4.2ghz and saw huge improvements, around 30-35 in cities.

The first month or so was probably the best time i've ever had in gaming, and i've said in the past that i would love to erase my memory and be a newb again but thinking about it there's been so many awesome moments playing this game over the past year that i could never willingly wipe them all from memory, not to mention the good friends i've made along the way. So i'm looking to the future and hoping the standalone turns it up a notch bringing us a greater even more intense gaming experience. @AppleJack100: That sig of yours is bloody distracting when your trying to type shit out, couldn't stop looking at it. -
I see the cities as being literal death traps, they're there to entice people in and then rip em a new one because their not prepared for the dangers within. It'll make a refreshing change to the usual process of not getting to the hard areas of a game until you're geared up.

There's much better admin tools available for checking on players without interfering with their game. Personally i'd report it to the admin of the server so they can verify that it was one of them, smells like a hacker to me.

I think his point is that you can't actually see it on the model, so when you change weapon it does just appear out of nowhere. -
Yup, you have to redo all your settings when you make a new profile, you could probably go into the arma folder where your profiles are, copy, paste and put in a new name, but never tried it.

Oh..pill boxes...i thought you meant pillboxes https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=pillbox&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=sb30UcGRJYfS0QWC54HgCw&ved=0CGcQsAQ&biw=1920&bih=941 I like this idea for matches, but for painkillers and antibiotics i think its too much, would be better if you actually had to take a course of pills to actually have them work properly, So for painkillers,one pill would relieve pain but you would need to take another 10 minutes later or you get the shakes again. this could last an hour. Similar for antibiotics, you have to take a course of 6 pills, one every ten minutes before you cure the infection, no more insta cure. The difficulty would be conveying this mechanic to the player, Painkillers wouldn't be so hard, when the time comes to take the pills again you start shaking again. For antibiotics a simple way would be to actually not allow spam consumption and have a message pop up saying you can not take the pill yet, wait (X amount) minutes. a more subtle way, would be to have the infection fuzz around the blood icon become more subdued when a pill is taken but not go away completely and then become fully "fuzzed" again after 10 minutes, or it could just effect the frequency that your character coughs.
