  2. Seen a few people have this issue in the past, cant remember any fix, but i think it was to do with the arma 2 beta patch, make sure you're using the recommended 103718 patch.
  3. I think the main issue is that they dont have any running attack animations, they could just have them attack without an animation but i don't think that would go down too well.

    Just tried a couple of 1.8.0.1 servers and loot seems to be spawning too low, in some buildings its beneath the floor.

    Yeah had it happen loads of times in the past, I now make it a point to ask any passengers to never eject out the littlebird.

    Thats nothing to do with the new patch, theres always been a chance that the parachute will damage the littlebird when ejecting.

    Like any mod, some people will be fans, some won't. But i haven't seen anyone making them out to be "bad guys" and certainly no comparison to the douchebaggery that is origins. Last time i checked the Epoch team were one of the most open when it comes to sharing code with the community.

    Playing on public and private hives i haven't knowingly encountered a hacker in months, things are definitely much better these days.

    Try deleting your arma config.(not a bad idea to back it up first) depending on whether you launch as admin or not it should be found in either C:>users>(username)>Documents>arma 2>arma2OA.cfg or C:>users>admin>Documents>arma 2 >arma2OA.cfg

    Thats kinda my point, when you set up a dayz server you dont get the option, it automatically sets up as internet.

    When you create a multiplayer game just in arma you get to choose between LAN or Internet, if you choose internet theres no need to manually forward anything, your game automatically goes up on the server list and people can just join. I had a dayz test server running a while ago off my own computer using DayZControlCenter and it automatically set it up to allow an internet connection, My crappy router doesn't even have an option to forward ports and it still works, Seems to me thats all thats happening here. Theres most likely a way to set it up as LAN, but the easy way is to just put a password on there.

    Arma is designed to allow others to join your private server easily, you dont need to port forward the IP. so if you don't want anyone to join you have to use a password, this is normal.
  16. You can throw tin cans, bottles and flares to distract zeds, but it only works if they haven't seen you already. Smoke grenades can be much more effective.

    Hmm, thats not good then, is this on a vanilla server? should be working as i described, if not then somethings gone wrong.

    SteamOS is Linux based and uses OpenGL, Valves source engine has already been ported over (with a claimed upto 20% performance increase) and crytek are already working on porting the cryengine over. Also AMD and Nvidia are both showing interest in improving their graphics drivers for OpenGL.

    Me neither, but if Valve want SteamOS to actually have some success they need to be doing everything they can to encourage game devs to port their games over.

    To rotate hold down Q or E, it takes a second or two before the tent moves. To move around hold shift so that you slow walk. And to place the tent use the scroll wheel, an option to complete build should show up.

    I sure hope it will be, but it probably wouldn't happen until after the full release of the standalone.
  22. I believe average server fps should be around 40, don't know much more about it though i'm afraid, though that AI piloted c130 might not be helping matters. If you post your server specs and a list of the custom scripts you are running it might give a clearer idea of whats happening.
  23. I find buttfuck nowhere to be the best place to look for heli's if there are non at there spawn points. Sure it's possible that someone is using a map hack to find them but it's just as likely that someone found them legit, As theres no way of knowing its best to just put it down to bad luck and carry on.
