These things are important but it would be a very bad idea to keep adding content especially things like vehicles and bases before they get server performance and stability to where it needs to be. Also consider that these things are most likely being worked on already but they just simply take time, which should work out nice as by the time they are ready the guys working on the performance side of things should have made good progress. The games in a very early stage of development, we just have to be patient and accept there will be times when its not very playable whether due to bugs or simply a lack of content.

Totally agree with zeds damaging gear on a corpse, seems like a good way of finding a balance between having bodies littered around the map which add atmosphere and it being too easy to just run back to a body to get your gear back. It is unrealistic that solid items like guns would be damaged but why not have a random chance of items being picked up and carried away by zeds, would love to see a random zed shambling along loosing grasping an M4 or a can opener. Edit: doesn't even have to be just zeds, if someone dies out in the wilderness there could be wild hungry dogs/wolves that come out to feast. Not going to happen until server performance is improved though so for now a 10 minute timer is fine i'd say.

They changed to a larger office just a few months ago because they were increasing the size of the team, and now after the unexpected initial success Rocket has already stated they are looking at expanding some more. Where does this idea come from that there's only 5 people working on the game? Just because only a few choose to be in the public eye doesn't mean there's not more people working behind the scenes. Aye, i think its far to early to judge, there's still a load of work to be done on the north and east sides of the map which could change player habits dramatically, and hopefully Utes or even a whole new island will be added to spice things up in the south east. looking forward to seeing the new coastal town in the next patch, i expect it'll be the half finished one at Guba which will make the east a lot more interesting.

The new experimental patch isn't released yet, we have to wait till monday. Search for Experimental in the server browser once the patch is released, you may have to increase your ping limit to find them as they are hosted in germany. Edit: to find the experimental servers go to Remote in the server browser and search this ip 193.111.141.102 -

I don't really see the difference between spawning on the east and heading west to gear up and the old system of spawning south and heading north. Obviously the current spawns are a bit screwed with the majority of spawns happening in Solnichniy and Kamyshovo but that shouldn't be too hard to fix. Plus i like that Cherno can now be made into decent place to aim for rather than just spawning there and getting it all on a plate. The west is the new north.

They could get away with using the brand name products before because it was just a Mod. Now that its a paid for product they would need permission to use them and non of the companies replied to their requests, so it aint gonna happen. Heinz beans are overrated anyway.

The northern part of the map has a lot of changes planned for it, theres already road networks up there showing where 3 new large towns will be. Until then here's a Top Tip, if you don't like the spawn locations try not dying so often. Death is meant to suck, spawning right on top of all the end game loot ruins any sense of progression you get from having to start over again and make your way to the high value areas.

Your character is stored on the main database. As long as you are using the same steam account you can use any computer and you will keep the same character.

Because they are on the same hive as everyone else and so should follow the same rules, or lack of. It's too easy for a group to rent a server, mark it as pve only and get all the best loot without any fear of other players then just jump on a normal pvp server giving themselves an unfair advantage. Once private hives arrive people can have all the pve servers they want.

Though Rocket has said they want dayz to come out on other systems eventually ( including linux and therefore SteamOS ), It wont be until the game is a full release which is expected to take 12-18 months from now.

Bayonet melee hasn't been implemented yet but will come at some point. Though you can use them as weapons in your hands, plus they can be used as can openers.

The ak's are coming, they used the M4 first because its the best gun for testing the new attachment system.

All this does is create a new profile which only effects your default settings such as starter clothing/ skin and graphics settings. You'll still have the same gear and location.
