Dear Rocket, I have not seen any glitches since this hotfix. I used to have glitches near barbed wires. The odd thing is that a friend of mine who had not seen a single glitch before can see those glitches instead. Unfortunately he did not send me a screenshot. The ammuntion count seems to be working fine. Atleast I do not have all full clips anymore when I log back to a server.

Duping: 3/4 of High Level Gear is Duplicated

We have a group of 8 very active players and couple more less active. We use mostly the same server where we have plenty of vehicles. Every time the server restarts some of us take cars and drive around the map to hunt heli crashes. Sometimes there are more than 5 server restarts per day. The amount of guns we get in one day is just insane... -
This weapon nerfing truly sucks. More rare, military grade weapons are high powered and all the guns that freshly spawned find are utter garbage. Our group has so much guns stashed that we could start another wordl war. It gives us truly unfair advantage. Before the nerfing a smart player could win people with good guns by out maneuvering with Lee Enfield or such. Now, we can just laught as the bullets tickle while our AS50, FN FAL, DMR, M24, M14 and other guns sing. And do not forget how great heaven this is for disconnecters now. Lee Enfield used to be the anti ALT F4 gun. No more. Now you are at the mercy of gun hoarding bandit gangs. And if one of us dies, one drives to give good guns to the freshly spanwed. And if we ran out of guns we just go to night server and hunt for heli crash sites with NVG and cars. All this nerfing thing does, is make game harder for beginners and loners and more easier to veterans.

DayZ crashes computer after 5 - 10 min

I just started to have the same problem. I can play all other games without any issue. For example Witcher 2 with full settings so it cannot be my computer that is faulty. If you find a solution or a cause for this, please be kind and share it. -
I just updated to 1.7.2.3 and 94945 and I'm getting "Battleye initialization failed". I updated Battleye both via Steam and manually loading the dll files. No use. My friend has the same issue.

Server is running an incorrect version of the Server Side Application on every server

I found out that many servers run now arma 2 beta 94211 while lates version to download is "Latest beta patch: ARMA2_OA_Build_94209.zip" and six updater offers 94203. If anyone knows where to get the 94211 please post a working link! Oh, now they are back to 209. WTF was that! -
That is another feature I'v found too. Our group got 1 down from a disconnecting group with a suprise headshot. He had NVG, M107 ect. too. In another event I shot a guy who was coming from west of Kamenka with an ATV. He disconnected right away. My exploiting sensitive nose told me he must have a camp there. I went as west as possible where the texture of the ground changes. I found a camp with 10x GPS, 5x DMR, M24, M4A1 CCO SD ect. It makes me wonder how he got all those gear there.

I'v seen a lot of tears around every patch. I have shed my share too. I'v grown to accept all the unstablity, all the deaths that come from experimenting game balance. This mod keeps evolving and getting better and more stable. There is one thing that is getting totally out of control: exploiting and cheating. 8/10 pvp encounters end in enemy disconnecting and traveling to flank in other server. It seems like it is nearly impossible to win a firefight without serverjumping and disconnecting unless you get only 100% headshots with powerfull weapons. Almost every time I fire a weapon, see the blood burst, the player dissappears to bandage himself in another server and to travel to a better position. This has become more the rule than exeption especially in encounters near military loot places (Stary Sobor, Balota, Krasnovstad, NE Airfield).

Thanks :) Having larger goal that are server bound would also voluntarely bound people on same server. Then it would be easier to get to know people who play there. Whom you can trust. Would reduce serverhopping too. And people would not flee the night instantly too to another time zone servers. Yesterday we took a buss and announced in global chat our next stops. We transportet about 10 players to where they wanted to go. It was great fun for several hours just getting new people to ride with us and used the vehicle channel to chat. The friendly buss of cherno. Unfortunately it came to to its end when deceitfull bandits called for a ride but sniped our driver. One passenger took the wheels while bleeding and drove far enough for me to give him blood transfusion and we survived. It was the end of the friendly buss though. I would welcome more game mechanics that support that kind of cooperative gameplay. Also the story of the buss would have been nice to read from the map :D -
* [FIXED] Tent placement is completely screwed (now can place anywhere except in building) I tested and all I get now is the animation and sound starting over and over again. I could not pitch my tent after 15 minutes of trying all around. Seems to be as hard as it was before.

How to increase cooperation and reduce mindless killing

Our merry little 7 players group has become bored and thus we have become bandits. We had everything we could get in this game: tons of weapons hidden in tents across servers, plenty of vehicles, enough food and medical supplies to eliminate need for further raiding for months to come. Then we started to hunt zombies for sport. Cleaned towns. Made silly experiments. We still had fun. When 7 players with skill and military weapons enter a a town, zombies or alone survivors have little chance. Of course some of us die to other players bullets but the rest of us kill those who killed some of us. Take the stuff from the dead and give them back to the freshly born team mates with Makarovs. So death means only 15 minutes trekking now to us. Increasing difficulty of zombies and survival would not solve this problem. It would only make the lives of newcomers even more harsh and those who do not have group would have no chance to survive at all. I would prefer to build things or hunt bandits and help other players than prey upon the weak. Direct communication range is too short for efficient estimation of friendliness. Shooting is safer. Somekind of ingame radio would be nice. Or a freeking megaphone :D This http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11015 would be a good start but not the actual problem solver. What I suggest is some sort of longterm goals that last longer than individual lives of players. Lets have some discussion what those things could be. For example: - ability to produce stuff that people need from raw materials. - ability to get more permanent bases of operation: perhaps taking over some building and getting a generator there to produce electricity for lighting and other purposes. Maybe even to take control of some of those radio masts and beging a local server radio. Of course people would need some sort of portable equipment to listen that radio or buildings could have fixed radios for listening those. - possibility to modify vehicles, paint them (paints and all other parts need to be raided or produced of course) I know these things sound a bit like some sims game but is it necessary a bad thing? To have other things to do besides killing things that move and mere survival. Humans need greater purpose and meaning to things. Now we have none and killing other players is the only real reason to go into towns anymore. Now discuss, brainstorm and let your imagination fly high! -
