Traps: Yes, would be a nice addition. Hiding spots: Yes, maybe have a shovel to make them, ability to hide your dug hole under leaves, maybe even give the option to make a dirt trap for defenses? Infection: No, not based on humanity. For everyone that gets attacked by zombies, sure, the people in the world of DayZ shouldn't be immune to whatever caused the infection. As long as the zombie 'you' is an AI zombie and just wanders about with your gear so you will have to kill 'yourself' to get your stuff back. -
I wouldn't, I would be way more cautious with approaching them or take them out from a distance and pick them off one by one, even though that will diminish my ammo a lot. But I understand you point though, that's why I said to add an offset, can be them stumbling at times which gives you a chance to shoot, them keeling over after x amount of time from exhaustion etc. Aslong as they become somewhat of a larger threat then they are now. PS; If the zeds wouldn't run faster then us it would also be broken. they will never catch you anyways (unless you think you can outrun them while running up a huge hill which makes you walk).

Could also work, as long as there is an offset to them constantly hitting you while you run, else you wouldn't stand a chance if you miss-fired and have 6 more zeds joining that 1 you just missed.

Quite sure Outlaw is more intelligent then you state, seeing as you instantly resort to name-calling after him just making a valid point. What fun is it to be a survivor when your only fear is the zeds? The players, and not knowing their mindset towards you, is what makes it exciting. On the database point; Wouldn't mind it, but only to reduce load to the MS, so temporary i.e. only when logging in, until you log out. Nothing persistent.

Maybe let water have slightly more effect, since its almost 50% of your blood and thus more 'valuable' for regeneration. Like the general calculation though. -

I'm not ignoring it and you will see that if you read below what you quoted. Please explain' date=' as you might have figured I don't have any engineer/dev experience, but always like to learn more. How is it easier then in the current setup? Quite sure gameserver hosts have proper protection in place to avoid such a thing and I doubt that admins would want their server to be closed by DayZ staff. And hence my suggestion for admins to just properly label themselves, or it being enforced by staff. No code is always preferred if you ask me. Fair enough, would be nice to explore though. -

I think that the zombie speed is fine, they don't have active brains to limit their muscles so they can be fast and amazingly strong. The current problem is more likely to be that they stand still to attack you and at that point back peddle will give enough distance yes. Maybe make the attacks go while they are moving? Then you can't simply outrun them anymore since you WILL get hit. Could be possible to offset the danger with a chance for zombies to fall because their bones can't handle the speed for long durations. Just my 2c

Since you can now choose what to eat, please no. What if you come back and your last steak is gone but still have 2 cans of beans? Prefer to choose it myself. -
The blood regeneration post the suggestion thread would add to this. I think it's already quite hard if your goal is to survive with one single character for as long as possible while actually traveling all around the map and heading into cherno/electro for supplies and human contact.

+1 for the idea, now you just munch on meat and are full on blood. Would also kinda of generate a "darn im full" idea after you ate because you have to wait with the regeneration boost to eat more and get the same effect. -

The cans are semi-useless when traveling through the entire map. Also try to get 2 water bottles at all times just to fill them up when i find water, saves space! -

No need for this (IMO)' date=' the premise of DayZ is that your character is ment to be you. If you die, you are dead. You don't have a group or anything else on respawn. You are a new you without memories of the old you (theoretically). I understand not everyone would play in this mindset, but it's valid with the current system. It might actually be nicer to have the server you play on remember your character stats (after taking it from master server) and handle all future requests on said server until you log off (which at that point sends the data back to the master server for resumed play on other servers). Then they could possibly improve the respawning system to not make you go back to lobby but just instantly respawn so that regrouping would be easier to do and give the master server less load. Since admins do not label their servers with full detail, you are server hopping to find a decent one. If every server hop would add 2 minutes just because it was night or 3DP on/off or CH on/off, people would end up waiting half an hour to play just because of stumbling into servers they do not like. This will be a punishment for a labeling flaw. I would like to see the staff enforcing detailed server labels like example: DayZ 1.6.1 HIVE 0.9.1 [3DP:1|CH:0|TAGS:0] [GMT+1] - Hosted by ... This will solve you server hopping for a day server and avoid some load on the MS. Maybe then you can start thinking about using the hopping cooldowns to avoid people DCing when shot or gear farming and switching, but sadly not before. Agree with your standpoint that something should be done, but less drastic towards players that don't just hop for gear/death avoiding. -

It's very easy to just HS them, giving them more HP won't change much in all honesty (aside from giving people better aim I guess). I believe that numbers is the only way to make them more threatening. Just my 2c -

Yep and it would steer the game towards more teamwork, as a lot of people are asking. Will keep an eye on this thread and bump at intervals in the hope of getting official response. -
