man I hope you're joking about the "more than current". You are doing an amazing job, I can't start to tell you how everyone loves this game and how much people appreciate your efforts. Srsly if you feel hated you are maybe reading another forum or only reading the crybaby threads. :D Keep up the awesome work up my friend ;)

Hi everyone. I think everybody knows metro 2033, a post-apocalyptic game where Earth surface has been contaminated by radiations due to a nuclear war between world's military factions. So, my suggestion, is to implement inside the DayZ world, the "Radiation" element. We could have parts of the map where the ground is highly contaminated and going there without "proper protection" would cause your health to quickly fade or would cause sickness and other possible negative effects. Proper protection: and that's the interesting part. New objects like Gas masks and filters would be inserted in the game. Objects extremely rare that would need extreme maintenance. I'm talking about rarity comparable to NVG and filters would be rare aswell. Of course these "contaminated" zones would make the risk by going there worthy, being the places on the map where the highest loot spawns and possibly being the most zombies infestated areas. What do you think?

I don't know we are talking about a post-apocalyptic world, rocket said the zeds are not zombies but "infected" so...yeah there still a background scenario to write.

[Solved] Problems after installing beta patch: battleye unknown game version

The game was running fine just before I applied the beta patch, but rocket wrote is gonna be necessary in 1.7.1. so I wanted to download it. Anyway I downloaded the ARMA2_OA_Build_93701.zip and installed it, edited the Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch shortcut adding the dayz mod line, now when i try to join a server I get the Battleye error "unknown game version". Can you please help me? -

ok I figured it out, I was running the game using the shortcut that the beta created, now I edited the old OA shortcut on the desktop and added the line so that is launches the OA.exe inside the expansion, beta folder, my line now looks like this: "C:\....\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@dayz -nosplash now I can join servers with beta aswell, only issue is that I get the message "player andreamit is using modified data" but that doesn't kick me out or anything so as long as it is I'm can play fine. -

OP you have to consider that you played those 9 hours not just for getting the loot which you lose by dying, but to explore the world and have fun. I also got angry the first time I was gunned down, but everytime i spawn again I set new objectives to myself and try to be more careful. The more you play the more you actually learn to stay alive and survive, and even if there's a bandit in the bush sometimes it's part of the game, pvp needs balancing of course, but punishing people for PKs it's damn wrong. you take away from this game one of the most hardcore features. this game is SUPPOSED to make you fear death constantly and while the zombie system has to be fully developed yet, players interactions are great because they are unpredictable: will that guy over there be friendly or just a bandit? I keep reading people in chats asking if playerXX is friendly or not, by removing or putting penalties to PVP you take away the tension of the game. You of course are free to think it is a bit too much hardcore but we only are at alpha stage and with time there will be tons of new and fixed features, like survivor camps where you leave your gear when you venture outside, or surv outpost where you can stay safe. just be patient or come back in 6 months. -
seriously people just f*ing stop complaing about everything, this isn't even beta, you're not even at beta testing stage, it is ALPHA for god's sake. if you can't stand the game right now come back in 6 months.

....I would seriously help this guys to develop this game, like giving them funds etc. I read that arma II sellings have increased by 400%, just look at the servers, literally overloaded by so many people. I think this game has really a great great potential, but it need the right help. Right now I'm concerned that becoming so popular, so many users can make too much pressure on the dev team, which surely didn't expect this kind of popularity, forcing them to rush things without the right testing. I just hope that bohemia helps them to ride the wave before people start to lose interest. I would like to know from rocket if the big heads at bohemia have said anything about this.

I can live up with the hardcore aspect of the night, but seriously for GOD'S SAKE, if you intend to keep things as they are, do at least something about server waitings. In 6 hours I couldn't join once!!! only because the whole world wants to play with daylight, getting the servers insanely overloaded. -
Slower zombies will be more fun, less predictable and interact better with survivors.

slow zombies are powerful and possibly more terrifiying than faster ones if you mix the right elements. take World War Z. the slow-zombie key is number. Fill cities with zombies, make them do far more damage so that the player actually fears a single blow from them and lastly make them vulnerable ONLY WITH HEADSHOTS. and btw it's true that outrunning slow zombies while not surrounded would be simple enough right now, but the true feature that this game really misses is a FATIGUE system. imagine you are surrounded and exhausted so that you can't sprint out of the city but can only retreat inside a building and make a last stand, maybe adding a feature to FORTIFY buildings with woods and other tools. now that would really be awesome OP ideas are great imho. -
ok I can confirm that when u kill someone, you get visible with a bandt skin. problem is that after dying and respawing I STILL am invisble.

same thing here, I logged on the server yesterday, and found myself in a strange desert storm skin. I died and I respawned exactly with the same problem. Please fix this! p.s. also I noticed that I'm only spawning in Kamenka, how can that be?

So I've got a G110 and I wanted to bind the G buttons to some of the controls, but when I go into the options and try to bind them, they just won't respond. i don't know how to create a working profile, I never used logitech gaming software and I tried to create a new profile by selecting arma2oa.exe, now I have a screen like this but I don't know what to do next...
